This makes a lot of sense. At first I thought it was an independent mando clan just trying to get revenge, but now you mentioned Saxon I don’t see Clan Wren killing new republic soldiers.

When did Gar Saxon rule Mandalore? Was that before the Great Purge of Mandalore or after?

What a great episode. I love Mandalorian action scenes.
Also I love how the Pirates right hand was dressed like Smee, and the Pirate himself was a less noticeable nod to Captain Hook.

I saw the episode title and expected Hondo would make a surprise apperance

I wouldn’t say she’s gone yet. Anakin doesn’t leave until after the temple is wiped out. She’s just staring out her balcony crying and watching the temple burn… which is really out of character for her now that I think about it. But I guess being pregnant made her not try to investigate what was going on.
