Sneider isn't someone that gets into racial arguments though. There's probably some truth to what he's reporting. It really depends if that source of his is full of shite or not

Rege-Jean Page is a name that's come up in the past

You called that a non credible guy would have an anonymous source speculate on a potential hidden actor testing?

I have to at least believe that he's physically attractive. I don't see how that is controversial. Kind of important for the character. You want Paul Giamatti as Bond? But go ahead and call people gay, I'm sure that's helped you win arguments since middle school.

The guy you are calling ugly is dating one of the hottest pop singers on the planet. What does it matter if a dude on tigerdroppings doesn't find his ears attractive if hot women of the opposite sex find him attractive?

These are his past three girlfriends...

So he is banging actual pop stars, actresses and models in real life and it's out of the question that he could falso do that as a fictional character?

Ha. I suggested this 2 years ago.

That said, I think the secret 4th actor is likely a big name that doesn't want it known if he loses out, like Hemsworth or Cavill or, god help us, Tom Holland.

I didn't say he's ugly, I said he's got big fricking ears. They're distracting. And plenty of ugly famous people date hotties - have you seen the chud Selena Gomez ended up with? And she's like a billionaire.

Why?

1) I always watched for the action. I never needed to see attractive women falling for him. I think you’re caring about the least significant variable.
2) Women care more about money. We’re told it’s about charming personalities and guys with a sense of humor (but enough about me). The hottest broads care about money. A modern James Bond can be ugly as frick but if he drives an expensive car and appears to be rich, your criteria of a heroic character banging hot chicks can still be met.
3) If the sex angle is important to you, would you settle for something realistic? A true hero serving his country would probably have to take one for the team. He would have to nail someone like Hillary Clinton or Michael Dell’s wife. It may not be a crowd pleaser but Bond fans would know that character really cares for his country.

But it’s not really about hot women, is it? Admit it.

Why are two dudes named Handsome Pete and Willie Stroker arguing about how hot James Bond needs to be? You're both suspect.

There's definitely a weird amount of talk about that on here "I really need a super hot Bond. For...reasons"

The entire character is "women want him...men want to be him".

It's really not complicated for anyone with an IQ above 50.

What is this nonsense? I guess it's a comedy bit? If so, keep working on your material.

Regardless, you're conflating different arguments in this thread about who is attractive vs. does having a hot girlfriend mean you're obviously attractive enough to be James Bond. If you think James Bond can be unattractive, I just don't know what to tell you. Now, whether Callum Turner is attractive enough to be James Bond is a matter of opinion, but there is no arguing his giant sound holes are not for everyone (Dua Lipa notwithstanding). If Callum is your special boo, I'm sorry to have offended you.

You know this franchise is in trouble when they can't simply pick the next bond actor and get to production. It was a good run while it lasted. Do they even have a script?

I don't blame him for the questionable story choices in Lanterns.

If the characters weren't already well known (i.e. if they had been original characters instead of two characters already incredibly well known by comic book fans), I think Lanterns would have been MUCH better received; instead you have a Hal Jordan that doesn't act like Hal Jordan and a John Stewart who doesn't act like John Stewart, but that's hardly Pierre's fault.

Holland is too baby-faced to be believable in the role.

Cavill or Hemsworth definitely could pull it off though. Cavill especially, considering his British accent is natural.

Well, given how EON ended things, it’s important for Amazon to get the casting right. A big part of the delay is they chose Villeneuve to direct. Steven Knight at least has a draft of the script done.

I wish they hadn’t gone with Villeneuve, but it is what it is at this point.

If they'd been two original characters 12 people would have watched it if it ever got made at all, which is unlikely.

I couldn't have told you a single thing about GL prior to watching this other than he's some sort of superhero with a ring. I'd never heard the names Hal Jordan or John Stewart in this context and had no preconceived notions about their personalities or character traits. It was probably worse for people invested in the IP but it wasn't good regardless.
