I bought one of those double dvd combos from the book store in the Florida law school for $5 that was PCU and Slackers, great purchase.

I've seen 29 out of 50. I wholeheartedly agree with The Big Lebowski being number one.

Dazed and office space would be my top two from this list

I actually refuse to believe there is anybody out there that truly, honestly likes this movie. I've seen lots of clips of it online, and it's just weird for the sake of weird. It's one of those movies that feel like people think is cool to say they have seen it and like it, when in actuality they don't because it sucks.

Army of Darkness made the list. I deem the list worthy.

Same. Thought I would have seen more of them.

I can't believe that most of the lists don't include Rocky Horror. I guess you're just young. It is totally cult. And weird. But there was not a more cult movie in 1982 or so.

I've never seen anyone say they like Eraserhead.
I watched it.
I didn't take a lot from it.
I have no desire to watch it again.
It came across as a feature length student film focused exclusively on primal sexual horrors with a lot of effort taken to make the sound and set design disgusting to hear and painful to look at.

4 John Carpenter films (I liked all of his stuff), but no John Waters films?
I wouldn't really call Carpenter films "cult". They appeal to a certain niche, but they just don't feel "cult" to me.
I don't even like what I've seen of John Waters, but Pink Flamingos and Female Trouble feel more like what I would deem a cult movie. Same with Jodorowsky and Tarkovsky.
Of course, the seventies was an odd time for cinema, and we obviously aren't going to ever see anything like it again.

Same. I was ready to start talking about kill list again.
But seriously, we need a “best of” list dealing with cults. It’s a favorite genre of mine.

It's a quasi-Freudian exploration of the fears and anxieties of parenthood. It's basically a fever dream an expectant parent might experience just prior to the birth of their first child.
