While this episode was a wild zag and very intense and creepy .. it’s not the tenth best episode of tv

lot of recency bias in this list but i wasn't super impressed. they leaned into a lot of fart smelling here. i liked Atlanta, but that was a weird episode, and not in the top 10 of the whole series, nonetheless all time. Roots is cheating. GOT not having one in the top 50 is insane. Even after it went off the rails in season there were bangers that were better than half the top 50.

i say this as somebody not overly critical of Rolling Stones when it comes to these sort of things.

Pretty much any of those but I think Blackwater is probably the most accessible of those.

The entire season had been building toward Stannis’ attack on King’s landing and you get it by seeing the perspectives of Davos with the Navy, Stannis on the ground, Tyrion leading the defense, and Cersei and Sansa in the Red Keep with the other highborn ladies.

Hardhome is what I would consider a “wham episode” because you start out thinking it is going one way then The Others show up and shite’s on.

Rolling Stone generally sucks but love they have Twin Peaks E1S1 at 13. That pilot really hooked me. Still remember watching that and Gulf War I religiously on television.

Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, LOST, The Wire, and The Sopranos should probably have like five entries a piece on a Top 100 Episodes of all time list.

25 of the greatest episodes in TV history did not come from 5 shows . That's ridiculous.

They are for sure off on which episode of GoT and LOST, but in no way do LOST, The Wire, and The Sopranos have 5 of the greatest episodes ever. I LOVE The Wire, top 5 show ever for me, but it still doesn't deserve that many. I could probably see GoT having that many but I could also easily view it as the end made all those great episodes essentially pointless.

I disagree with a lot of his choices, but can't fault a guy for sticking with one episode per show.

The Winds of Winter
Greatest episode of television I've ever seen in my life. So many satisfying moments unleashed in one hour. Compounded by the most haunting score ever.

Yeah, this Top 100 list is bullshite. Sorry.

Personally I think that “Through the Looking Glass” is the greatest episode of any show in television history, possibly only second to Ozymandias. Just everything about it is perfect, every character is perfectly used, has the best death of the show, and curveball at the end was just huge. That episode was just shattering at the time.

Yea I mean that 100% is the best episode but I think even if the guy had picked the right episode, similar to GoT (no idea why he picked that episode), the ending to the show drags it out of the top 10.

I get why people still love LOST but I also get why people don't like it. I know how you feel about it but I'm on the other end of it, the ending pretty much ruined it for me and it's a show that went from great to I have no desire to see it again. But yea, that episode was absolutely shattering at the time.

While he has some odd choices in there (Atlanta?), I kind of respect him for putting the LOST and GoT episodes further down. The season finale to Freaks and Geeks was chefs kiss good (even though I'd have the penultimate episode above it). That scene from I Love Lucy is literally painted on the wall at a diner near my house it's so iconic. Put those ahead of LOST and GoT.

Not one episode of Miami Vice. The list, like everything from Rolling Stone, is shite.

Glad to see the Taxi episode where Reverend Jim gets a drivers license on there.

One of the funniest sitcom episodes and scenes of all time.

"Forks" and "Two Cathedrals" are both too low

And I say this with all sincerity: The absence of Bluey is inexplicable

My personal favorite TV episode of all time made it on the list at #35.

Clyde Bruckman’s Final Repose from The X-Files.

Seinfeld and Frasier are two of my favorites but the contest and ski lodge wouldn’t crack my top 10 for either. At least they rep twilight zone and the twin peaks pilot. My so called life pilot is a good shout. Otherwise not a fan of the list.

Niles getting ready for Valentine’s Day may be the funniest scene of the whole series.
