No bodies that I could see, and I haven't seen bodies any of the times someone went outside, unless of course they were hidden by tall grass.

I do not believe bodies have been readily visible. Holsten did move towards the position where we have seen his wife’s body. But the show did not give us his perspective, to know whether he could see her or not.

I wonder if the green grass is fake? The sheriff didn't move to his wife's body until after he took off his helmet and then he went straight to it.

None of the bodies have been visible when we’ve been able to see green.

Obviously something is still happening to the people who go outside to clean.

I think outside is greener than what is projected, but also think there’s some sort of projection in the suits when they go outside since as I said, no dead bodies have been visible in any of those shots, yet as we saw from the sheriff people are collapsing.

Or maybe their bodies are just evolved to be like mole people and can’t handle the oxygen outside after 140 years

Idk I’m too scared to keep coming back to this thread in fear one of these book nerd hipsters is gonna ruin it for me

Didn’t he hold her hand when he collapsed?

I didn’t see that at all. From what I remember as far as the viewer could see - there were no bodies outside of the Silo

I have a theory, but I worry I might get banned or flamed for posting “spoilers” if I post it and I’m right. Even though I haven’t actually read the book. Which would effectively spoil it for me as well. This book shite has me paranoid.

Same. It seems like a lot of people have read these books. And spoilers seem even worse for this than GOT (in my opinion) because this is a mystery box show. Hopefully we can make it through without anyone being an a-hole.

They didn’t show it from his perspective. But when they showed him collapsing from inside the silo, it looked like he grabbed her hand after he fell.

I’ve read the books and have been reduced to saying the most general shite about the show. Talking about anything specific at all would quickly spoil the show for others. It really needs a book readers thread, imo.

The last of us had 2 threads. One for the video game players and one without video game spoilers. Might help keep book spoilers out of this thread.

As someone who’s been involved in numerous turnarounds, that generator takedown sequence made my skin itch. The amount of times you’d prep and rehearse and drill something like that would make a Navy Seals operation look like a neighborhood play

And as others said, you’d do it in phases. You’d take it apart, identify the problem, put it back together, prep how you’d solve it, drill the fix, etc, etc, etc, but that doesn’t make for a great episode ha

I was just getting annoyed with people standing around. Like what was the boss doing? All he did was push a button and look at the guage. I mean get up there and help them fix the issue instead of just standing around. Same for the girl friend with the buzz cut. The shadow needed help and there are numerous people there just standing around. Like some city workers casually fixing a sidewalk.

Yeah I'm doing like a semi scan/partially read a post first Avoiding anything the alum guy posts now. If the show ends up being really good I'm going to read the books. I'd prefer no show or book spoilers.

Yeah. It’s probably needed. I went ahead and started a book readers thread.

Seriously you have a guy with muscles like that but he sits there saying, 'Come On!,' multiple times while a small woman and her small male stand-in handle the heavy duty work.

That was awful and ridiculous.

Did anyone else catch the "window" glitch when the power went out? The outside view turned green for a quick second.

And until you posted the picture here I didn't notice because it was so fast but the "bodies" are gone!! OHHH you sons of bitches what are you hiding!

It did seem filler-ish but it seems like the backstory about her mom/brother may end up important?

Was there something on the page of the file she was looking at we should have caught? I didn't go back and slow it down, seemed like a true cliff hanger and we'll figure out what her reaction was over next week?

I paused it and didn't really notice anything significant. It showed his citizenship, I don't know if that is anything of importance.

Holston hiding it tells you he knew Judicial probably had something to do with the murder.

I hate that my main takeaway from the episode is just how bad Sims acting was. My God that was one of the worst grieving or drunk acting I've seen in a long time.

the backstory is already relevant. the tragedy of her mother/father and the recycling guy being nice to her when she felt abandoned made her switch from doctor caste into a mechanic caste. she preferred to fix things at young age. she may have recently accepted the enforcement caste, but still is a mechanic at heart.

the file was on her murdered bf. hidden away similarly to a flashback of the satchel she found with holston previously.

someone wanted her to find the file. A file she had been searching for and was oddly nowhere to be found in the expected channels (safe with records, discarded items to repair etc). someone knew juliette is the 'fix it' type. someone knew she would find it despite the silo customs that Bernard explained fixing something instead of getting maintenance to do it would make an enemy with maintenance.

plus a deputy is going rogue, drunkenly battering civilians publicly in front of children when people are still uneasy about a new sheriff. civilians are pissed off enough to ambush a deputy in his own home.

First few episodes were good but the last two have been boring IMHO.
