re: ARC raiders

This game is awesome.

From friendly encounters, to skirmishes ended by words and mutual benefit, to fair fights, unsavory betrayals, and surprise ambushes. Talking your way back to life after being knocked etc.

Embark has crushed it. Now has my 2 favorite games out. The finals and this. Embark has a lot left in the chamber for this game if my experience on the finals has any predictive value.

No mic or emote only raiders are clanker-synpathizers until proven otherwise.

To be fair, that is a VERY low rate for babysitting these days. That may have been fair in the 90s, but now it's at least twice that.

I wouldn't be too mad at her

lmao im pretty sure that was a low-medium rate in the 90s even. babysitting has been considered "lucrative" at least for the latch-key folks, 10 an hour is more like minimum wage nowadays...especially if peers are routinely doubling that
Check out the finals. Same guys making arc raiders.

Its generally a 3v3v3v3 tournament style game. Very unique. Fast paced arena objective shooter.

Your leaving out the HGN test which is by all accounts very accurate in determining if the person has been drinking. It doesn’t mean the person is drunk. It’s the reason this test is done first in a DWI stop.

In many states you can take the breathalyzer in lieu of the FST if you have a medical condition like bad bsck\knees etc.

From Google AI
Horizontal gaze nystagmus (HGN) is an involuntary jerking of the eyes as they move to the side. It's a key indicator used in field sobriety tests, particularly those involving DUI arrests. When someone is under the influence of alcohol or certain drugs, this jerking motion becomes more pronounced and easier to observe

you average field cop isn't qualified to evaluate for nystagmus. I would laugh at a cop if they tried to test me for nystagmus, and i would certainly not participate in that evaluation. roadlight test in the dark with other cars and distracting variables. yea right.

assume you'd be going to jail regardless of whatever the cops think they saw, because they'll just say they saw nystagmus which they aren't qualified to evaluate for... and there is no getting second opinion from someone who actually knows differences in normal saccades and nystagmus.

"drugged up"
this is a hilarious way to describe this topic.

interesting...

i guess it doesn't entirely disenfranchise someone at a federal level?... as you could move and register to vote in another state for federal elections. not sure the constitution grants you the right to vote at more local levels.

So, nothing.

frick a pardon, because it would be construed as an outright admission of guilt. Fight, and win through attrition.

seems like his political persecutors need the pardon much more than he does.

The timing is the solid.

Had they waited until after he was inaugurated, he ran the risk of having to deal with the "Constitutional crisis" media narrative. It's likely exactly why they did it now and not later.

They're still following the DOJ policy.

lmao imagine thinking dropping the case is doing him a solid.
it was a thinly veiled political persecution that ran entirely out of runway.
they did it now because they already look terrible and are trying to save what little face they have left.

Listening to Mark Halperin, he believes that a deal is in place that Trump and Hunter Biden will both be pardoned

what does trump need pardoned for?

Josh has screwed over Cory a bunch of times now. Looks like Cory is finally realizing Josh is not his ally. I don't know why anyone trusts Josh.

ill never be sad about repeating, josh is literally the worst.
i have no clue why tori and everyone else haven't noticed it before this episode, but is seems like the tide is turning.

No way Trump should go on an unscripted discussion show.

No way he will avoid a gaff or a super senior moment.

Dumb move.

imagine being this disconnected from reality.

No! I owned a business with 1800 employees. I can't stop one of those knuckleheads from saying something stupid. Yet, I am a Trump supporter. So if I'm knucklehead, who I don't even know, does something stupid like that you're gonna boycott my business?

this is a lot different than a grunt hostess saying F trump lmao. that wouldn't even be tweeted about.

I would expect you to hire managers that aren't so braindead they are doing things like letting air out of trump supporters tires or refusing service to prominent figures... you may deserve a boycott.

im sure you can understand there are different levels of tolerance for playing stupid games based on the scale of the game and the stupidity.

Holy shite everybody is so super scared of CT. Unless it’s a Hall Brawl you have as good a shot as anybody to beat him. I know he’s good at everything but outside of physical, brute strength he is beatable. Nehemiah, you aren’t some Challenge god because you can hammer better than him. Just like Jay isn’t a god for stacking shite in front of a jail cell better.

idk. CT is a threat with anything involving puzzles/math, physicality, eating too.
plus this is fat CT. kinda sluggish. He's beatable unless the challenges lean his strengths

this challenge seemed to be better off really quick and methodical when it came to nailing them in... taking them out seemed hit or miss on if they could halfway recreate tinas move.
but tinas just falling out seems a lil sus.

1) She has a rare condition called Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH), which is described as "a rare, acquired, life-threatening disease of the blood. The disease is characterized by destruction of red blood cells, blood clots, and impaired bone marrow function. PNH is closely related to aplastic anemia".
2) The vaccines given were for "tetanus, meningitis, and pneumonia"
Why she had to have vaccines for blood cancer treatment is a question I can't answer, but this is very much a 1-million result of someone with an extremely rare condition

1) PNH cure is allogenic bone marrow transplant, its requires a several months long regimen of things that essentially eradicate your immune system. other non-curative treatments are immune modulators milder which also leave you compromised to a lesser extent.
2) ~ 15% of people die within 1 year of the curative treatment. if they didnt 'require' the vaccines it would be more like 100s of lawsuits instead of 1. 100s of lawsuits over irresponsible doctors causing horrible deaths from things we can cheaply, effectively, and safely prevent. easily orders of magnitude difference in risk vs benefit assessment.

Think of it more from the doctors perspective... would you start a long duration high risk regimen knowing the patient is not willing to participate in the first steps of the regimen?
say hypothetically the treatment is russian roulette... options are revolver with 2 rounds, 1 round, or no rounds? Hint: Doc is not letting you pick the 2 rounds gun just because you are feeling lucky. There better be an exceptionally convincing argument to do so and random chance vaccine injury without known contraindications is less than entertainable reasoning.

I think Laurel and Johnny made a dumb decision throwing her in. If she loses then you just lost an extremely solid competitor to help your team. If she wins then your team morale is likely irreconcilably fractured. I just don’t understand the move this early.

imo makes sense. you want to be the strongest in your era so you can win your era for the daily and decide who goes in, instead of someone who out competes you deciding its you.
season is over. only 8 eps. everyone is butthurt by the finale
