agreed, they need to get back to storyline of the outside because the internal politics are boring me to tears

Yep. It’s what makes the show distinctive. It’s getting watered down by every other plot line I can find elsewhere. Hope it turns around.

idk what yall watching but the internal strife is heating up. that last episode was pretty good.
judicial vs IT on the narrative to calm the civilians.
found out more about the pact being quasi religious to these people. judicial underling attempted to kill sheriff, gets killed as a coverup. The secret of janitorial workers and whats so unspeakable behind their doors. Judicial with priority access to evidence and intel and use secret informants that arent specified by the pact.
they did advance the outside plot slightly. outside knowledge was so destroyed/lost that people inside don't know what stars are. theres essentially a silo version of Galileo discovering astronomy.
why does the pact forbid pulleys/elevators and magnification? what are the implications of the relic the mechanic lady found?

Is this the best show on TV right now? Incredible so far

This show is very intriguing to me. The first few episodes with Rasheda Jones and her husband were very Lost-ish. Later episodes have kind of switched gears into a more politically driven who done it with the overarching what is outside the Silo in the background. Judicial is obviously controlling everything and I don’t trust Tim Robbins character at all.
Some theories myself and the wife have.
When the people go outside to clean they don’t die. They are knocked out by gas pumped into the helmet. The bodies on the screen are just screen captures.
No elevators is to keep the people separated into there little caste bubbles. The powers that be can’t have people easily mingling and sharing knowledge with people of other skill sets.
The whole destruction of history before the silo founders is messed up and evil. It seems like a ploy by those in power to stay in power. I don’t know. I second guess myself on the outside being livable or not. If it is and people in charge know it is then why stay underground.
Also. Where the hell do they get food to feed 10,000 people. Have I missed something because all I’ve seen is the orchard where they buried the mayor and the deputy. They wasted a shite ton of apples too.

I'm with the suit being in on this. When the power went off we saw the screen flicker and show it green and lush outside

In the first episode there's a blink and you miss it pan across some floors with livestock & crops

This was my thought.

One of the themes of the show seems to be how humans are good at blindly following tradition. Maybe it’s as simple as their bible, the pact, tells them not to go outside.
I’d also bet the men behind the curtain have a few extra chapters that say advancing technology and growing the population too much lead to self destruction. They may not be staying in the Silo for a good reason, but they probably went in initially because they had too.

Totally agree. I may bail on this show soon if doesn't get back to being more mysterious.

I'm enjoying this show.
However, some reason I thought Common was a decent actor before this. But holy hell he sucks.

I have zero clue why he gets cast in anything

He’s awful. Why he gets roles that are more than a grunting heavy like in John Wick is beyond me.

This series is dragging. I tried to watch the latest episode and I can't remember if I finished it or nodded off.
I'll try again, I guess.

Got around to watching the full ep. Snooze fest until the very end, then a bit of drama. Seems the cop was told NOT to do something, or she'd certainly end up dead. Welp, what are the chances she ignores the dire warnings and mindlessly does it anyway?
Never freaking fails. Like walking into a darkened room, and NOT immediately turning on the lighs.
What could go wrong?

10 episodes is too long. Should have been 7 at most. They are dragging a show out too long as usual. It was not a long book.

I'm getting "Lost" feelings about this show. Starting to feel like it is just going down a never-ending road.
