It looks cool, but I'm really hoping they don't deviate too much from the source material, and it looked like they are forcing an IRL relationship into it.

It looks like they created the physical world very well. The stacks look great, the birthday party at the club.

The effects in the Oasis, particularly the large battles and whatever the hell that car chase scene is what worries me. Hopefully it isn’t too busy, as another poster put it. Anarok looks awesome though.

Damn it looks like they are going far off the source material. Welcome to the rebellion. Wtf. This shite isn’t Star Wars.

ETA: Easter egg announcement looks generic as hell too. Not the great one in the book.

Agreed.

I won't be seeing that in the theaters.

I don't understand why they are using the correct bands, but the wrong songs. Should have been 'Subdivisions' or 'Temples of Syrinx' and 'Dance The Night Away'. Just seems unnecessary.

This looks like they took all the geeky parts that made people actually like the books and added explosions. Did Michael Bay make this?

What is this resistance nonsense? The entire point of his existence was to do this as a lone gunter and what ends up causing him and Artey to separate, but now she is welcoming him to the resistance when she is the one that broke them up over getting too close???????

It’s gonna be bad. There is a part in this trailer where he has 128000 with no one else on the scoreboard and he has 2 Keys already, WTF

Welcome to the rebellion is a line from a middle or end of a conversation. Star wars showed up a bit in the book. So it's most likely a witticism. But the gunters were the rag tag underdogs against the corporate faceless well armed mooks that operated out of a corporate death star hq.

Edit: we'll probably get a lot of stuff told not seen since things like his xwinf may visually be off limits.

Yeah everyone realizes somethings aren’t possible because of copyright, that’s why we are ending up with Iron Giant as a mech.

This looks like a massive overhaul of the story. I really hope Anarok’s challenge isn’t as bland as it looks in this and it is a lot more than what it appears.

I was listening to the live release of the trailer. Spielberg helped with alot of the copyrights and they got most of them. They missed a few though. Still have my hopes up for this. We will see.

Looks extremely disappointing. Might as well rename it, barely resembles the book.

They "updated" the references it seems, which is probably smart for part of the target audience but just lends credence to the deviation from the source material.

Looks so blah at this point. I was pumped for this.

Now just leave Snow Crash alone I guess.
