I said it at the time, and I still say it. Funnier than Airplane! Airplane! set the standard and has some all-time classics, but everyone has to admit there were a couple of scenes in Naked Gun that caused physical discomfort from so much laughter.

then the guy asks Drebin a question. Drebin says he shouldn't say anything. The guy gives Drebin back some money and Drebin begins talking.

One throw away gag that always gets me. Early on in the crime lab Frank looks into a microscope and says he can’t see anything. His partner tells him to use his open eye. Frank looks up from the microscope with one eye wide open and the other impossibly shut. I chortle at that gag every single time.
