A couple of things that made the movie even better years after release.

- OJ Simpson just being physically abused through the whole movie. Originally funny because he was a star athlete, now also funny because it’s a murderer getting his arse handed to him.

- Christina Aguilera pulling an Enrico Palazzo at the Super Bowl

My favorite scene is when he's walking and gets lost and says, "And where the hell was I?"

Strike?

There's no shortage of shite in this film that makes me split my sides, but the called third strike before the ball's even halfway to the plate might be my favorite gag in the whole movie. Just perfect.

For all fans of the baseball scenes, there was a great oral history article posted here years ago that was a great read. I think this was it: LINK

Great read for fans of the movie and especially the baseball parts.

I still love the gag where Drebin is arguing with everyone at the game and pulls out a gun

I remember almost choking to death from laughter in the theater from that scene.

I also enjoyed sliding into second base with the lion or tiger (I can't remember which) pouncing on the runner. The baseball gags were incredible.

The batting average of those gags hitting on that baseball scene is obscene. The head popping off one was maybe the one that didn’t work for me? But it’s immediately followed by Mel Allen using his catchphrase “how about that?” which hits.

The entire movie is hilarious but there is an underrated scene where the Mariners 3rd base coach is making all kinds of crazy signs immediately followed by a frozen rope hit zipping over his head.

I busted out laughing just reading this post

The umpire scene may be the most perfect comedic scene I've ever seen, not exaggerating. I was probably 10 years old and a bunch of us were at my friend's house. His dad was drinking beer and watching this movie laughing his arse off. We kept sneaking in there to try and watch after he told us it was too "grown up" for us. Finally he said ahh hell come on in here, and it was exactly at the beginning of that scene. I still remember it like it was yesterday and I'll never laugh like that again. I'm 38 now and if I watch it after not seeing it for a while I still cry laugh

the absurdity of all the snacks Ed was eating during the game.
the queen of England having to pass down concessions to the people down her row.
Ed upset because his father died the same way (fell from a high distance, ran over by a steamroller, then trampled by a marching band)
Drebin jumping into the back of a driver's ed car during a high speed chase.

you could go on and on..

what a great movie
