All of American Crime.

there isn’t one specific scene, there are many. That movie has always stuck with me, and I’ve never been able to look at Catherine keener the same way since.

Splice, can't name just one scene but that movie has quite a few. At least to me.

Not sure this is your intent with OP, but two haunt me to this day…

I’m still creeped out many years later.

I've seen more graphic things, but I still can't get that scene from Hannibal out of my head

I’ve posted about this here before but the scene in Ordinary People when the son has the flashback to the day his brother drowned. fricked up scene that definitely stuck with me after watching the movie.

I am blanking on the name of the movie that came out in the mid to late nineties. Was about the Canadian trouble between Indian people and timber companies.

The main character is a white man who is trying to meditate and his tribal contact takes him literally at his figures of speech. So when he is discouraged by lack of progress and says stuff like “someone should take him out in the woods and deal with him “ the Indian kidnaps the executive.

The sticky scene is the Indian guy skinning alive the executive while he is bound head to toe at a campfire in the woods. Just calmly talking explaining to the main character while peeling the left thigh with a sheath knife.

ETA: name of the movie is: Clearcut.
