You'll just have to settle for that embarrassment of a team giving LFC a guard of honor this weekend.. at their shite hole of a stadium

Prob won't go over this year based on the lineup, but perhaps when the schedule is announced.. if a day sets up well for the bands I do like.. I may change my mind...

One of my all-time favorite bands... Ive seen them quite a few times, but the last time in 2023 at The Metro in Chicago was incredible!

Recently started listening to their early stuff and they sound like a hardcore punk band.

Listen to the Steve Albini recorded version of In Color... This captures the essence of the band WAY more than the original recording..

Honestly, when I heard alligator early on.. I told everyone I knew this was great...

After they played the red star... good shite

He booked what people would pay to see. His job was to make the venue money, not get the best bands available.

Someone that is really good can do both... if the job/venue exists only to make money... like JW said, prob for the best...

It was one of those seminal moments when you knew you were hearing something you had never heard before.

I was only 5 when that came out, so that music was always just there for me growing up..

I don't doubt that it was a different sound when it came out, but my "Boston moment" was on the other end of the spectrum...

What??

She was tired?

Why are you so taken aback? People can't get tired and take a break? That happens to most people in all walks of life and they take... vacations! Take a break, recharge and then get back it...
I find it to be one of the most manufactured and sterile sounding rock albums of all time... and I while I don't hate them or any song in particular... its an automatic station changer for me...
Yeah, but there was a pretty strong community of folks in that state/chimes/carlotta area that supported the scene... you didn't really have to have a lot of cash back then to have a good time and support music...

Well, I'll be damned... Michael Hurley, the godfather of freak folk, also passed this week... Resquiat!

Al Barile.. guitarist and founder of SS Decontrol (SSD) has passed away from cancer.. RIP

Their first two records are legendary in the hardcore/straight edge world.. they then turned more metal(y) and subsequently broke up..
