I didn’t like Iron Man 3, but I have no connection to the Mandarin as a character. Never read an Iron Man comic.

I think that even over the Joker and Magneto that Lex Luthor is my favorite comic book villain of all time. I just find him to be such a fascinating character and there’s just so many routes to take him in. I also largely agree with his motives but find his morality as going too far but understandable.

If I had to rate my Top 5 villains in comics:

1) Lex Luthor
2) Joker
3) Ultron
4) Magneto
5) Hush (they really need to bring him to the big screen)

I actually had Doom at #5, but then edited it when I realized I forgot Hush.

If you want 6-10

6) Dr Doom
7) Ra’s al Ghul
8) Loki
9) Dark Phoenix
10) Sinestro

Our local morning show in B’ham had a local comic book store guy on this morning and he ripped the movie to shreds. Brutal. I may wait a few weeks to see this.

I don't think it makes a billion. I think this one will be in the 700-800 million range.

I actually thought the movie was OK and a lot of fun.

Not sure how - just an opinion man. I don’t care if he hates a movie - in the long run, it is just a movie.

I think most people don’t care anyway - it just may affect when you see it. It’s not as if we don’t have a pretty good Thor movie already or a Star Wars movie very soon to keep the fans busy.

I’m just not going to go early now, like I said, I’ll wait a few weeks.

They have nobody to blame but themselves. They let Snyder do his experimental style with beloved characters. Now they want to play it safe with reshooting and cutting JL. Too little too late WB.

Nah, the DC movies still make plenty money and that’s what it’s all about. This JL will make enough to warrant more movies, which gives DC time to straighten up and improve the movies. Hopefully they will keep improving. WW was really good and JL was good enough. Both a huge improvement over BvS and Suicide Squad.

Well, Aquaman has already been made.

They will still keep making these movies. The word is that things in the DCEU have completely changed. Hell, Snyder never even saw the final cut of this movie. He's completely out of the picture. I just don't understand why it took them so long. He's a good visionary IMO, but he was just not the right guy to run this franchise.

why does DC suck so bad at this?

they pay all the right people, they just can't put together a coherent script to save their life.

i mean, i hated DC comics as a kid too; thought marvel was way more edgy.

superfriends was the worst cartoon on saturday morning.

Justice League is so bad it may cause brain damage
quote:

"No, it cannot be," is one of the most cliched movie lines of all time. When the bad guy gets the reveal that things are not going his way, the bad guy in the really bad superhero movie says this. And that's probably why people laughed when the bad guy in Justice League says it with more dramatization than most bad movies would allow. Justice League is terrible. It is so terrible that you will lose IQ points seeing it. It is so bad that it actually makes Batman vs Superman look good. And you should be angry about that. Zach Snyder has managed to take Wonder Woman, Batman, Superman, the Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg and turn out a terrible movie for such awesome characters.

...

Here, you know Superman comes back. What you may not know is that he has been in a coffin for months and Lois Lane tells him he smells good after getting out of said coffin.

No, it cannot be. But it is that bad.

Martha Kent knows Bruce Wayne. She knows Bruce Wayne has some measure of remorse and guilt for Clark Kent's death. Yet she gets her farm foreclosed and has to pack up and move out. No Wayne Enterprises bailout for Martha.

No, it cannot be. But it is that bad.

Superman and Lois fly off after his revival and go to the house with a big "FORECLOSED BY BANK" sign in the front yard and they spend the night there. Mind you, they are not only able to get into the home, but apparently Lois finds a place to sleep even though we saw Martha drive off with all the furniture.

No, it cannot be. But it is that bad.

You can tell Joss Whedon came in later to rescue the film after a family tragedy forced Snyder off the project. How can you tell? Well there are lot of dumb jokes clearly inserted in reshoots. You can tell the jokes were inserted later and which scenes were reshot because the movie shifts from Zach Snyder gray to Marvel bright colors with a muted tone over them to downplay Whedon's rainbow brite vomit on the Snyder color palette of bleak and doom.

No, it cannot be. But it is that bad.

...

Y'all, this movie is terrible. I keep seeing reviewers say this movie is between Wonder Woman and Batman vs. Superman on the scale of good to bad. But that's like saying something is between a chocolate chip cookie and a pile of poop. This is closer to the rectum end of the digestive system than it is to the chocolate chip cookie. To say this movie is better than Batman vs. Superman is to have pity sex with it because you feel sorry for it and want it to feel better about itself. But it is not worth degrading yourself to get in bed with. Reviewers are just doing this because Wonder Woman is in it the whole way through this time and Gal Gadot is the only competent person acting throughout the movie.

You may get actual brain damage going to see this movie it is that dumb and bad. And again, you really should be angry. DC has Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and all these other popular characters and this is the best they can do.
