I gave up on the justice league knock off halfway through the first episode but I didn't turn it off... the twist happened and I had to rewind to try to find the context... nothing. Glad I left it running, pretty good, not the boys good, but still good.

Goddamn.
Another episode of Mark getting his arse whooped. That half blood thing isn’t working out too well. The human blood seems to really dampen the Viltrumite blood.
And the wide knows about Nolan’s killing spree. And he knows she knows. And... damn. She tells him.
Damn, they dropped episode 7 too. Or I fricked up and didn’t get caught up last week.
———————-
Nolan definitely has some Homelander in him with the rage fests.
Gotdamn... Robot is some twisted arse little mutant midget thing in a tank?
That was disgusting. That was also... surprisingly moving. And he’s got his own HulkBuster Robot. Can’t believe I didn’t catch on he was gonna do this though after the DNA swipe of Rex. That’ll go over swimmingly.
Holy shite. Lol. The creator of this shite is just riffing on everything, that was definitely the Gears of War Hammer of Dawn they tried to smite Nolan with. And The Immortal is Vandall Savage.
That ending though....

Holy shite, what an episode
You fricked up and missed last week's episode haha
I loved the setup last week, I even made a comment that I hoped it showed that human tech was almost there... and those robots even gave a fully trained omni-man a small run for his money
If Vandal Savage could actually go toe to toe with Superman, that was actually a pretty good fight, until the whole cut into 2 pieces thing lol

Damn what an episode. Off brand Vandal Savage really put some work in on Omni-Man. It really makes me feel like if off-brand batman was closer to the real Batman, Guardians of the Globe could have actually won as he would have already had a contingency plan based on Omni-Man going evil.
The big 3 of Red Rush, War Woman and Immortal proved they could definitely damage Omni-Man. If they had a plan and worked together off of everyone's strength, I do think they had a oath to victory. But instead, off-brand Batman's entire plan to beat Omni-Man was doing a flying air kick. Oh well.
In any case, I do look forward to Nolan coming completely clean next episode. He really does love his wife and son. He could probably kill the entire planet without a 2nd thought of guilt. But he doesn't want any harm to come to his family.
Lastly, am I the only one that keeps on waiting for Omni man to do some type of X-ray vision. It would come in handy multiple times yet nothing. Its probably a safe bet that he doesn't have that power.

Like his dad said, they get stronger the older the get. Mark is pretty much a little kid Viltrumite physically speaking. He also doesn’t really push himself nearly enough.

IMO there was a reason for the persistent alien attacks on Earth (persistent for Earth, but per the time slippage narrative, a probable decades long campaign for the aliens) and why Nolan genocides the entire species. You can see it in the alien's desperation as Nolan torches their planet.

Just binged all 7 episodes. Fantastic! (I assume this is an 8-episode series??? Finale next week on Day One of the NFL Draft???)
Random spoiler-ish thoughts:
-I don't care if Amber is black or white, but what a smug unlikeable cvnt. She kills his awkward but willing kindness at every turn with condescension & piercing judgement. She's more thoughtful & selfless to the bums in the food lines than she is to the boy she wants to have a relationship with. His secret identity complicates things, but she has no redeemable personalty traits even worth the trouble. Absolutely, no chemistry. Maybe, the writers thought millennials would accept her incessant prickliness if they up her virtue by making her a multi-charity volunteer? Fvck off. Mark better get with Eve.
-I'm just realizing that whenever you pause on Prime, it shows only the actors of that particular scene and changes accordingly with the next scenes. It's an all-star cast. Yuen, Simmons, Cho, Hamm, Marquand, Quinto, etc..
-The Boys is better overall (CGI & R-rated drama/horror vs poor animation) but this is a worthy challenger with a similar theme but different angle/mystery.

This is pretty clear when Omni-Man is destroying the alien planet and says "earth isnt yours to conquer" lol. not a lot of subtlety there.

I'm thinking that the child Viltrumites coming of age and gaining their powers triggers something in the parent Viltrumites. Maybe the young competition makes them become more aggressive to show dominance or something.
My theory is that Nolan was sent to Earth to conquer it, met Debbie and fell in love, they had Mark so Nolan decides to put aside his planet conquering and instead protect the planet that's home to his family that he loves. But then Mark gains his powers when Nolan was secretly hoping he might not, and Nolan can no longer suppress his planet conquering instincts.
I'm also guessing a similar situation played out with Nolan and his parents and he had to kill them, just like Invincible will have to decide to fight his father to the death. Nolan talks about how his parents died and alludes to it being tragic but never says what happened. Maybe he killed them and was exiled to Earth with the mission to conquer it in order to redeem himself or something

They somewhat answered that in the last episode. Sounds like she's butthurt that Mark didn't trust her enough to tell her he was Invincible. Which is a lame reason, IMO.

One of the best and my favorite feature about Prime Video. I’m always like “on shite, what was that dude in and why does he look familiar..”

I’m thinking robot took dna from a few sources to add to the genetic makeup of the clone. he did have access to samples at the scene. I wonder if that is why we didn’t see him and robot leave together. He might have flown. I could see him with multiple cabalilites we have yet to see. why would you want just Rex for a donor? He might come into his Omega man powers until he gets older.

I was hoping the immortal wouldn’t die again. That was one hell of a fight.
Maybe the clone brothers can be used to beat Omni man by cloning someone else? Like it would have been a great idea to clone the immortal.

yeah the immortal revival was awesome. I felt like I was watching Hugh Jackman’s wolverine
Love the random twists in this show. Never know what quite to expect.

I'm so interested in all the characters backgrounds and the lore of the show but I'm too scared I'll read spoilers from the comics.
I love how most of the heroes are obviously modeled from other existing characters but they all have these cool deviations that make them unique enough to not be complete knock offs.
