Yup, this last episode was actually a "slow" episode for the series so far, and it was still excellent. I'm curious if we get some revelations next episode and I'm also curious if Invincible and Eve start teaming up with everything that has happened now.

It's interesting that Mark is getting his arse kicked so much lately. Also that he was apparently on the verge of death. Seeing as how he is supposed to be invincible, that seems odd to me.

Also don't get why OM didn't intervene when he seemed to be monitoring the situation where his son almost died.

I think it's obvious that Mark will tell Amber that he is Invincible...they've been building up to that for some time now. And she has to be the most understanding girlfriend ever.

I'm also wondering if OM is going to murder this new crop of Guardians too.

maybe he knows his son is "invincible", or at least extremely close to it, as in only a few things could kill him?

Remember, he's only half Viltrumite, at least for right now he is nowhere close to his Dad's strength. I think this is also kinda a build up to the technology of Earth getting to a point (a human just built a cyborg that could go toe-to-toe with a half Viltrumite) where they are "strong" enough to not need protection (whatever that actually means)

You kinda saw it in the "after credits" scene where they are studying if OM has any weaknesses and literally "the cells keep rebuilding no matter what we do" - OM knew his son would survive, I honestly think the only way he was going to intervene was going to be if BattleBeast had gone any farther. OM has to of known that BB was on a completely different level than any of the heroes of Earth, but was just waiting and seeing because he also knew someone of that caliber would get bored after a short time.

See, I feel like they are building towards the other way, and I hope he doesn't tell her. Eve told Mark that "letting someone know your secret isn't something you do lightly" and over and over again he could have used his "get out of jail free card" and smoothed things over with Amber, but he hasn't, because deep down I think he knows it's not going to work out for them.

Don't think so, none of these new heroes are as strong as the original Guardians - unless Beast Girl can get some kind of an upgrade (I feel it's building towards that) from Robot and Black Samson looks like he's going to actually get his original powers back. I feel like this makes them not as much of a threat... for whatever reason OM slaughtered them

The Replicate girl isn't good for much else besides having threesomes. If she could make like 100 she would be really useful. But she makes 5 who gets killed immediately.
Rexplode can throw some tiny bombs. Not totally useless, but definitely not a heavy hitter.

In the comics she's stronger than a normal human as well, and can overwhelm you with a ton of replicates. She's pretty damned lethal, but lacks the invulnerability that would normally go hand-in-hand with being someone who fights up close.

Yeah, a Gambit-like character.

Monster girl is pretty good, but she has that bejamin buttons going on. If she didn't die this episode, the team would be having to look after a 5 year old before long.

They address that in the comics as well. It makes for a pretty interesting side-arc involving her and Robot.

this brings me to a different question. if BB was so powerful why was he working for essentially a inner city mob boss like machinehead. just seemed weird he would be the hired help of what seems to be a low level syndicate.

you know, I would say money, but honestly maybe it is just a power thing? He probably knows Viltrumites are on Earth and wanted to try his hand at fighting one. They might just say the money was that good though - also, it could easily turn out that BB is on Earth, so in that case, money really is a good explanation-ish

Mark really knows how to get his butt beat. I figure at some point he will end up having to fight his dad once Nolan finally reveals his evil plan. But man, Mark has an absolutely long arse way to go.

I felt really bad for the tailor. I feel like he knows that Nolan knew. But honestly, wtf do you do. That is pure terror. If the literal world's strongest man on the planet wants you dead, there ain't shite you can do about it. You can't go to police. You can't turn towards other heroes. He already killed the world's strongest heroes 1v6. Unless The Veltrumites has a Kyrptonite type weakness, everyone is screwed.

Without comic spoilers, do y'all think OM is going to end up killing his wife. Obviously he's evil, but is he that evil?

I thought about that and I just don’t see him killing his wife. She’s the one person who can sort of keep him in check emotionally. At least on the surface. And I think he legitimately cares for her. So if push came to shove I think he’d just walk away (or let her) as opposed to hurting her.

Of course, if she is gonna go to someone to turn him in, maybe he’d have to stop her. Who knows.

How many episodes are in this season?

Maybe Nolan knows there is bigger shite coming and the guardians are useless. He sees humans and non viltrumites like we see bugs.

I haven't watched this but I'm pretty sure I just saw a big spoiler simply by doing a google image search for "Invincible on Amazon." GD it.

Holy shite episode 5 was great. That Lion was badass. And Doug Cheston channeling Rick in the beginning of Episode 6 Justin Roiland

He travels to different planets looking for a challenge. I doubt any money was involved and the opportunity to fight the Guardians was enough.

Thursdays at around 7pm Central. It's not right on the nose, sometimes it's 5-10 minutes after.
