No. I wouldn't.

Cool, your opinions in this thread are still shitty.

That's not what it is, but I'm not surprised you think it is.

Marvel is overrated IMO, at least half of their movies just aren't very good. But they are the trendsetter in this situation and DC is trying to catch up and copy Marvel rather than focus on making their brand the best it can be at a natural pace. That's the heart of the issue IMO.

And that's because they dislike my opinions on Phase Three of the MCU, thus reinforcing the "Cult of Marvel" thing.

So the only explanation for why people disagree with you in regards to your opinions about Phase 3 is because there is a Marvel Cult?

Question...do you rationalize all other times where people disagree with you in this fashion? Are there ever times when people simply think you're wrong without you ascribing an ulterior motive to them?

I'd like to see the list of over half their movies that aren't good.

First Cap, First 2 Thor movies, Ant Man was "okay", Dr Strange was a boring rehash, I didn't like Guardians 2, Iron Man 2 sucked, Age of Ultron sucked.

I will give them credit as Civil War and Spidey were both really good and Ragnarock looks awesome, so they are trending well.

Fair enough.

The only ones I think weren't good movies are Iron Man 2/3, Age of Ultron and Cap 1 straggles the line.

And I could give two craps about any of these characters before the movies. The only comics I cared about growing up were Spiderman and Batman, with a small sprinkling of Superman.

I give Iron Man 3 a pass because I liked the concept a lot, even if they bungled the execution a bit.

Even if they are the same movie (which they aren't), Batman Begins was the first to do it. It has the originality, Dr. Strange is the boring carbon copy.

The movie that has an origin story and plot that is damn near the same as what happened in 1994's The Shadow was brimming with originality?

It's the reverse in comic actually. Here's the highlight.

Sam Wilson is now consider THE Captian AMerica.

The Thor that we are watching now in the Movies, is not THor, he is simply name Odinson. THOR is a title like Green Lantern, Anyone can hold the hammer, The current thor in comic is Jane Foster.

Miles Morales defeated Steve Rogers with one punch. He than wailed on Steve for 4 more punches. Miles Morales is consider THE Spiderman now for the Marvel Universe.

The most popular character for marvel that their writers and fan loves is Carol Danvers, Captian Marvel.

Ms. Marvel a Muslim-AMerican pakastani is the face of Marvel at the moment. This is written by an actual woman.

Bruce Banner is killed off and currently the Hulk is an Asian Dude name Cho. He is also written to be as strong as the Hulk. This book is written by an Asian dude.

She-Hulk is no longer She-Hulk. How dare you assume her gender?! She is simply called Hulk now. Is written by a woman.

Black Widow just been killed off by Steve Rogers.

Steven Rogers is a Nazi and have always been a Nazi.

Hawkeye is a girl name Kate Bishop.

America Chavze is a newly created character that is super powerful and perfect. She has TWO mothers and has brown skin. SHe identifies as Puerto Rican even thought she is clearly an alien from another dimension. She is Written by a lesbian Peurto Rican.

Oh and Wolverine is considered inferior to X-23 Wolverine judging by the latest comics.

Oh yeah, the comics have gone off the rails since Disney bought them.

DC comics are >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Marvel's homages to progressivism.

Marvel is so far off the rails.

Oh yeah forgot, Iron Man is now a 15 year old black girl who is perfect in everything she do, Tony mom offered her his company. Shield wants her, MIT wants her, and she is praised and beloved by everyone.

Does Marvel really have superior movies? They have kind of mastered the do-over when it comes to spider-man and the hulk.

I enjoy most comic book movies from DC and Marvel but I never read comics. I just want to be entertained and don't care if the movies are true to the comics.

Is it just that Kevin Feige is better than Snyder?

It's that simple.

But the root problem is that DC executives stuck by Snyder after MoS failed and then doubled down on his bullshite after BvS bombed.

The people that hired Snyder and refuse to fire him are to blame for the DCEU not living up to its potential by refusing to fire Snyder and doubling down on him.

DC absolutely refused and still refuses to hold Zack Snyder accountable for DCEU not living up to to expectations and they only have themselves to blame for that.

First off, I think people really fail to appreciate how radical Dr Strange is as a superhero film. It builds to a climax that is won not through an action setpiece, but literally by the refusal to engage in action. It is a repudiation of punching your way through problems, or the final act of every comic book film.

Dr. Strange's solution to making the villain at the end go away was nothing short of brilliant. That was just superior writing on Marvel's part.

quote:

But really, the difference between MCU and DECU is simple: Marvel respects the source material and DC doesn't. DC films do everything they can to distance themselves from the comics, and ignore a half century worth of stories, while Marvel glories in their comic book nature, and lifts plots wholesale.

DC films are for people who don't like comic books. Which is fine, but an odd tact for a studio in the business of adapting comic books to the screen.

Yep.

Snyder does not respect the source material. In fact, he does everything he can to shite all over it and butcher it in the process of making the movie or just instead outright ignore it.

Snyder's movies are mindless action movies using comic book characters and their abilities while completely ignoring the essence of the characters and what makes them tick.

The Marvel comics that we grew up with and read religiously is dead and gone forever and will never ever return.

Just be thankful that disney isn't stupid enough to let that bullshite seep into the movies although I think they're eventually going to push the even lope sooner or later, probably sometime in the next ten years.

Marvel is so odd. They've laughed in the face of tons of history - Foster as Thor, Steve as Hydra, Ironheart, Spider-Gwen (a good comic, but the whole spider thing...ugh) etc. - while doing SOME cool things - Ms. Marvel, Morales, Sam Wilson as Cap - and some plain brilliant things - Aaron's Dr. Strange, Vision, Karnak, Moon Knight, Inhumans - they have all had some recent success in the story department.

Stay away from the main books right now.
