re: How can DC get things so wrong, and Marvel get them so right?

Outside of Spider-Man: Homecoming, you have to go back to Winter Soldier to find an enjoyable MCU film.
That's just your very shitty opinion.

Here's the main problem, and I feel as if people are having a hard time understanding this, Man of Steel was never meant to be the launching pad for an extended universe. It was meant to be a standalone franchise where Superman is the only superhero in his universe, kind of like how Batman was the only superhero in The Dark Knight Trilogy.
I'd LOVE a link to this...because this is literally the first time I'm hearing this bit of retcon to excuse MoS.
You're suggesting, that at the height of Marvel's universe building and DC's FIRST attempt to kick start their own universe with Green Lantern that they abandoned that plan entirely and were only looking for a stand alone franchise with Superman?
You may be correct, but I'd love to read something about this.

You didn't like Antman or Civil War? Or Guardians 2?

I'm sorry I don't find something entertaining just because it flashes.

Neither do I. Your opinion is still shitty.
Regardless, the product Marvel puts out on average is significantly more enjoyable than DC's. You can't really debate that. You're just trying to nitpick to get away from my point.

Spider-Man: Homecoming was a 7.5/10 and Captain America: The Winter Soldier was an 8/10.

You really do have to hate enjoyment to find nothing enjoyable in those...

We'll never see anything approaching their quality and box office success again. At least not in this genre.
Yup

there's only one real great movie out of that trilogy, and it hasn't really aged at all that well.

Well - to be fair, I didn't see the plan at first, but I do now (on the MCU side). A great plan is just that - it has to be executed, but it does give you an advantage over a merely good or even mediocre plan.
DC has gone with Snyder as the heavy hitter. MCU is a more mature universe, so it's almost apples and oranges at this point, but let's face it - I'm not the biggest fan of Favreau, but he and Whedon are just way better than Snyder.
And Marvel has pulled this off despite serious licensing issues with its "other" great team (Fantastic Four) and arguably most popular individual character (Spiderman, who finally seems to be coming home). I mean, I don't watch all of these movies, but I have dropped in on the Avengers (I'm a Whedon fan) and GOTG.
But, clearly vision, planning and persistence has served Marvel well - D.C. may have found its legs with Wonder Woman, after stumbling to a degree with their reboots of Superman and Batman, but I think it's going to be a tough sell to build a universe around WW versus, say Iron Man as they ended up doing on the Marvel side.
But, we shall see - it's not like they aren't going to make dozens of these movies over the next 20 years.

Where does the word "Or" appear in that statement. "And" shows a collective. The Dark Knight Trilogy were massive critical and commercial successes. The Dark Knight has been the only comic book film seriously considered for a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars. Yeah...there have been Marvel films that have outgrossed The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, but it's much harder to find Marvel films that outgrossed those two films and outpraised those two films.

Nah, you're just trying to act like a movie snob to defend DC's shite products compared to Marvel. We all see right through it.

See now I think you're taking this a little too far, Mr. Editor.

Where did I say DC was a good product? Did I like Batman v. Superman and Man of Steel better than most? Yeah. That doesn't mean I have nothing but undying praise for those two films.
Is it possible to be both critical of Marvel and DC on this board? Apparently not. But because I find redeeming qualities in two of those DCEU films, and consistently criticize Phase Three of the MCU for being nothing but carbon copies of one another, I am labeled a DC fanboy.

i consider it the best "quality over quantity" example

Sure, but you have to be honest. Your opinions are either shitty or dishonest.

You're labeled a DC fanbpy for arguing with people that say Marvel makes more enjoyable films. Don't argue with facts, and perhaps people might view you differently.
