thinking back at the season, now, makes me realize just how jumbled this season was
that finale was so disjointed b/c there are just too many storylines going on
the dorne storyline was just a complete mess and pointless. and it wasted so much time. should have just had jaime/bron get captured on the beach and ended up in the same place and saved about 30 minutes of screen time. the jail scene with bronn was absolutely pointless (even though people tried to claim it would be significant)
showing the brotherhood without banners and then abandoning it also just leaves this huge gaping loose end. i have this feeling they intervene with brienne/stannis for some reason.
if jon snow is dead, then that will add some economy b/c we won't have to waste time at the wall. however, if he is dead, then we wasted a LOT of time at the wall the past few seasons. with how much they've had to skimp on stories, that would be terrible in hindsight.
in KL, they really could have used some time to set up the popular uprising and support of the high sparrow. until last night they hadn't really established this at all. the long walk was the tool to show this, but it was just a bit ridiculous with what the show has told us. i know the books get into this more, but the show hasn't. the last time we saw the common people, they were in love with margery. they hated joff, too. so in a month, they turn on her and a better king? ridiculous
arya's storyline was done pretty well
dany's story is the same old shite. the hodors are all convinced she just got a bigger army. that seems a bit optimistic. why do we think that those dothraki aren't going to take her as a hostage? why would they follow her? her khalesar (what's left of it) is at mereen. she never really had one, either, as the real one abandonned her when drogo died.
they need to clean shite up and become much more efficient. they need some deaths and consolidations

I agree about this point. The plotline in the Riverlands was one of the most interesting parts of the story and they have almost completely written it out by sending Jamie to Dorne and Brienne to Winterfell. I feel like the Riverlands plot kind of ties a lot of things together and we totally miss out on that stuff.

They don't show Stannis getting a sword to the face though... so he can't be dead.
That's what we all said about the Hound at the end of last season, but at this point, I'm pretty sure its safe to say that he's dead.

It's more a reflection of how much people hate the queen rather than the church's power. The church is powerful don't get me wrong but I think the walk has more to do with poors wanting to toss shite at the most smug count of all the cunty high Born

100% I am fine the Sansa going back to winterfell but I hate how they made her a victim. She should have been working behind the scenes fricking the boltons shite up. They really ruined her arc

that is the church's power, though
otherwise, cersei/margery would have been busted out with the quickness and the high sparrow and his flock would be slaughtered by real soldiers

My point is they could not give a frick about the church the day before for the most part. However, since today they get to toss shite on a high born they will jump in on it.

Damn it looked like a much bigger disparity than that
Stannis was only at like 1/3 strength. He could've wrecked shop if he didn't get abandoned

Who was holding Dragonstone?
Posted on 6/15/15 at 2:23 pm to wadewilson
That is a major plot hole that will need to be addressed, what happens to Storm's End & Dragonstone? Stannis' forces hold both.
However in the book(Won't happen on the show) Cersi sent Loras(not arrested) to take Dragonstone, he does. But is severely injuried, fate unknown. This was when Stannis was at the Wall.

Sansa isn't wily enough. She understands right/wrong but her mind just doesn't work into the areas of political intrigue (with the way she has developed she will either learn it or die soon, imo).

quote:No, and it's not Dawn either. Lightbringer has certain qualities that neither of those swords possess.
Do you believe Longclaw will become The Lightbringer?
I think LB is lost and someone will find it. I don't think an existing sword will transform into it. That would be kind of gay.

How so? Her book arc was nothing. Her show arc was one of a helpless victim. It seems consistent to me.

I will say this about the finale.
If Jon is actually dead. Then his entire arc is him getting the wildlings across the wall.
Because that is the only thing he accomplished.
This makes his story arc the most pointless of all the "major deaths".
If Jon is resurrected, he is free from his life oath. And the ramifications of that could be game changing
But if he is dead for good, his character was the most pointless POV character.

I still don't see a reader "melt". Read the whole thing.
If anything I'm only upset because the show spoiled the books, but oh well.

I am just convinced the final episode is a battle between others and men+some dragons. Think you got a chance but night king kills everyone.
We get to see Sansa s hoo has too
