Guardians of the Galaxy with old chicks. Even the MSM is calling it a disaster.

This sucks because it will scare producers further away from trying anything different. I might go see this just to reward the effort.

Obviously not a good sign but I didn't think critics would like this movie and only 10 gave voted.

All this means is the first 10 critics didn't like it, not that they rated it 0 stars

Feels like there is zero buzz for this movie

Nobody’s talking about it

This feels like a movie that was greenlit in 2019 after someone saw Kevin hart in Jumanji 2, then Covid happened and it came out 5 years later without any updating

As someone who played the first 2 games a lot, I have no idea why Kevin Hart would be involved at all beyond the voice of Claptrap.

Saw the trailer before Deadpool and Wolverine and there's just not a whole lot about it that looks appealing.

I guess, but the IP is not really well known. Watching the trailer, though, I could tell just by the costumes and hair that it would be a flop.

I think there was a LOT of missed opportunity.

Tiny Tina is so much more manic and insane in the games than she appeared in the trailer. I was hoping that when they got Ariana Greenblatt to play her they'd let the character go off the rails like in the game but she seemed incredibly tame comparatively (based on the trailers).

FYI, this is what we apparently were close to having...

Eli Roth originally shot the movie with a planned hard R-rating but rewrites, heavy edits, and reshoots from Tim Miller dialed the film back to a PG-13.

First 2 were, the rest not so much. BL2 writing was top notch.

This is a movie that would’ve killed in 2016, but the issue is, we’ve had 5,000 one-liners as dialogue, CGI heavy throwaway movies since then. It’s tired, no one is going to laugh at the dumb little robot or Kevin Hart screaming anymore. No one is going to be impressed by 5,000 shots with space ships and fake explosions and the leads quipping through it all. Slapping a new IP over the same movie isn’t going to work well.

this does seem like a missed opportunity considering how good Fallout was.

whoever said they pitched this in 2019 at the height of Kevin Hart and probably right after GotG is right. not that irreverent can't be fun... it's just done to death at this point.
