Exactly. He/they just don’t get it. In response to Elon telling advertisers to GFY for blackmailing, here is Bob Iger:

quote:

Iger now speaking on Disney no longer advertising on this platform (X): Musk's comments not a positive one for Disney. Disney is allowing X as a method to communicate. Iger declines to say if ban will be permanent.

There is a significant demographic that holds the same ideology as Elon. By alienating X, Disney is exacerbating the divisiveness. So yea, as you said just words.

ETA another gem

Bob Iger Says ‘The Marvels’ Failed Because of a Lack of “Supervision”

I’ll believe him when high ranking people in their studio divisions start being fired.

Keep an eye on this link. So long as it's active, this is all talk...

LINK

This shite comes first. This is all talk to try and appease investors and people not paying attention. You'd have to take a firehose to the entire organization in order to make a dent at this point.

Think Twitter. Elon has clearly tried to make huge changes, but there are STILL activists working there and you can see them still fricking things up like gremlins every now and again.

Disney, with its tentacles in so many different organizations, is FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR worse.

Fire Kennedy. Until that happens, it’s all lip service.

i would love to drill down on this comment in an interview with him and see how long it takes to get him to subtly admit that he should have had better white male supervision over the black female director.

This will change nothing. Disney will continue to be run by progressive activists and their projects will reflect progressive activist values. It IS very political in nature.

The entire problem with Disney stems in who controls the corporation and does hiring.

Every department at Disney is chock full of rabid activists and Iger isn't going to do anything to change that which means we will continue to see the same trash content with the same trash themes.

The only way Disney can be saved is for the corporation to be destroyed first and then reborn with a completely different foundation that screens out radical progressive activists from having so much power.

Given the industry they're in and the geographic location of their hires, there's no way Disney will ever u-turn from this.

It's like expecting Cal-Berkeley to develop a conservative reputation. Won't happen, it's too far gone.

It is so fricking easy to make a Disney movie that appeals to the general masses, but Disney only seems to make their movies for middle aged lesbians now.

Looks like Iger opened the first letter. Next, he opens the one telling him to write two letters.

Found out Disney is backing the Dr Who series just in time for a 60th anniversary special about transgenders, and starring this person...

Does that count as a Disney princess?

Yep, they want their customers whom they've lost to think, "Good. Marvel/Disney has gone back to the good ol' days. I think I'll check some movies out." They'll spend their money, find out Disney is still producing the same garbage, and we'll be right back where we are in a few years with Disney mea culpa-ing yet again.

They have no intention of changing.
