Whoops, my bad. Binged S3 on the day of the premiere and thought that was her. It's been a few years since I saw the first two seasons.

Good fun movie. I enjoyed it. Went Friday night and the place was packed. Contrary to some of the other posts i've read.

I didn't see the snap coming either. That was probably my favorite post credit scene. Really makes you excited for IW2

Some of the best end credits to date.

Mid credits yes.

Post credits.... nah. Though I will say if you stop and think about it the ant still following the routine is low key really sad. It's probably going to keep doing that until it dies.

First...saw it this Saturday and really enjoyed it.

As for the end credit, yeah...I think most people understood this was coming. At least, most people probably went in wondering when the snap would take place, and maybe forgot about it as the movie went along.

And while I really liked everything about it, we had a big discussion on the way home about potential other ways they could have made the snap REALLY hurt. My first thought was Ant Man and Wasp handle Ghost just before Hank and Janet reappear in the ship...only to open the doors to see them turn to dust, and have Scott turn to Hope and see her fade too.

My 15 year old came up with a better ending I think. Everything goes as it happened and as Janet comes to greet Hope for the first time in 30 years, she reaches her hand out to touch her face and her hand begins to fade away. Hope begins to scream and Hank starts to rush over and he fades too. Hope turns to Scott in terror and he watches and she fades. He ends up in the lab alone on his knees with piles of dust around him.

This only started as a discussion because it felt a little odd that they'd have nothing to say about the spaceship that tore up NYC a day or so before while they were up on the roof, etc. And I get all the explanations there and they make perfect sense...but that thought was what had us thinking of alternate ways to REALLY make that snap have huge weight.

Again...loved the movie and what they did and I realize they stick him in the quantum realm for a reason hat will play out, etc. But from a heart breaking aspect in the way it hurt to see people fade in IW, it would have been really cool to have them fade after finally getting together.

They're all enslaved mindless robots anyway. It's probably happier than shite, at least it's not forming some living bridge over an electrical circuit or getting eaten by the seagulls of doom.

True enough. Besides Routine Ant has a better life than the Dock Dinosaur in Fallen Kingdom.

I must have missed too many of the prior movies. I don't know what snap means, so I did not get the ending. Really enjoyed the movie though.

So... you didn't see Avengers Infinity War?

If not you need to go out and do it now.

One problem with your endings. Scott wouldn't have been stuck in the subatomic space. I'm sure that had to happen.

Are animals affected by the snap or just humans? We should have seen some ants get dusted.

Does the snap apply to the quantum realm or does that basically act like another universe? Its just the subatomic level of this universe so its not really different.

Didn't teen groot get dusted? I mean quantum realm could be affected, but Scott just was in the other 50%? Or if its not affected then cool, Scott is still around

The problem is they probably wanted to keep it a self contained story for the most part with a happy ending during the course of the actual run time.

And they couldn’t make the credits scene too long since it’s a credits scene. They did it the right way. I thought at least one of Hank, Hope or Janet would live but I get why they all had to go, to keep Scott stuck in there for an extended period of time. I assume Cassie might be the one to save him? Or Captain Marvel?

Toss up for me. She will be one of the only ones to believe he is missing because of ant-man stuff and not just vanished like everybody else. But we will have to see if they do the time jump.

I think the more likely option is Ghost and/or Bill. He was going to the quantum realm to get the energy to heal Ghost, correct? So I would assume they had an idea of what was going on.

I know...which is why I said that.

We were just tossing out endings that could have been as crushing to watch as the fades were in IW.

But yeah...as with all things under Marvel, there will 100% be a reason for Scott getting trapped in the quantum realm and the payoff will be worth it.

I think some people didn't know the timeline of the movie, I was waiting on it to happen. Actually was expecting Scott's daughter to go
