quote:What puzzles you? Ant-Man is a small piece of the Marvel world. Nearly everyone going to see it probably has interest in the larger picture that is The Avengers. It made $700 million domestic and it's the exact same target audience. So yeah... most of the people seeing Ant Man will have seen IW first. That's common sense.
This is so puzzling to me.

It's puzzling to me you can be this retarded.
Get the frick over this and quit talking about it. It's pointless.
I think it would be awesome if the opening of IW2, assuming Ant-Man has some significant part in it, Luis finds Tony Stark and explains to him what happened to Scott and that he needs his help to get him out the quantum realm. Any way they can get Luis to talk to Stark, would be a victory in my book.

Again, I'm with you. You didn't do anything wrong. The only thing you won't totally get is the post credit scene... a bonus. No big deal.

Liked it. Interesting there was no real villain. You had a mid level gangster but not much else.
Ghost wasn't really bad. Rather driven to be saved on the same sense Hank would break laws and deal with criminals and thieves to save his wife.
Fishburne's character made it known multiple times he wasn't a bad guy. Especially when he said he would cut Ghost off if she touched the kid.
Obviously now ghost will likely be a low level MCU hero.
A lot of people left before the mid credit scene. They really missed a twist. Wow.
Pym and both Wasps.
I'm guessing Ant Man will be in the after credit scene for captain marvel.

I saw IW before I saw black panther for this same reason
But you saw the bigger production of the two which is the normal thing to do. I think people's understanding of the word normal is misconstrued.

I must face up to it. Now I have to go beat my son and wife for making me go see a movie I had no interest in

She was part of the Thunderbolts (kinda sorta Marvel version of Suicide Squad) in the comics.

Maybe Marvel is setting things up to have a team put together by Thaddeus Ross (as Red Hulk) w/Zemo, Bucky, Black Widow, an Ant Man. Other members that are locking into TV shows include Luke Cage, Electra, and Punisher. Also, there is an opportunity to try and get bigger in China w/the character Radioactive Man.

Also, very lazy editing for their magnum opus.
So it’s simultaneously daylight in Africa, New York, and San Francisco?

Well, HE was part of the Thunderbolts. The comics version of Ghost is male, but has no real background.

Let the first one response go unanswered because eh, whatever.
But for some reason having a Johnny come lately second go unanswered is too much. Sorry.
You (and the other guy) are basically arguing that it is physically possible for both to have sunlight at the same time.
You can literally make this argument for the entire globe as long as exact times and date aren’t cited in the movie in question.
But without looking again to see from this angle: you both are arguing that they only JUST can make it, with San Francisco and Wakana being at extremes of early morning and early evening.
I’m saying that both appeared to be midday, which is impossible regardless of the time of year. Again, would need to rewatch but I don’t remember any indication that the sun was anywhere near the horizon.
Furthermore, the coats in Scotland indicate that we certainly aren’t during the long days of summer. Clearly spring or fall.
(FWIW, not sure why you picked Nigeria as a reference, but Wakanda “would” be UTC+3 and not +1. So 8AM SF IS 6 PM Wakanda.)

Anyway, I guess this thread is open game for theories on how Ant-Man ties into Avengers 4.
I caught Civil War on TNT last night and I'm wondering if the key (or one of the keys) to defeating Thanos is going back to the events before Civil War to prevent Cap and Tony falling out. I think Scott will get rescued from the quantum realm in the future and realize he must go back in time to save the universe, and will start with going back to before Civil War to prevent the Avengers from breaking up.

You mean you don't want to keep talking about the location of the sun in AM and IW??
