There’s a lot of QB’s that were drafted in the last 15-20 years that never did much of anything.

Anyone bring up Tim Harrington? Went #3 overall and flamed out fast.

Joey you mean? He stuck around for a decade I felt, he played for teams and started after the Lions released him.

That's right Joey. He only played six years, Had one season each for Miami and Atlanta after Detroit. Pretty much only threw for around 2,000 each season.

So how do we classify Blaine Gabbert? It was known pretty quick he wasn’t worth the pick, yet he just got a ring at 33yo backing up Mahomes lol

He got a ring backing up Brady in Tampa, he didn't sign with KC until a week ago

That is why I wouldn't trust any combine. You have 3/ 4 years of tape you see what some one have done.
If you want a late round project then fine.
Zack Wilson is was a bum has talent but just isn't consistent and seems to be polarizing. I watch film of him getting the shite beat out of him and his team mates didn't do shite. I know they are a morman school but you got to protect the qb.
But he made a great throw fading away to hit a reciever not guarded and he wasn't under any pressure and all the scouts went crazy.
No different then a and1 mix tape that shite looks cool but it dosent work vs pros

The Falcons and their 1st round pass rusher flops

Jamaal Anderson, DE from Arky, 8th pick overall in 07, 7.5 career sacks

Takk McKinley - 26th overall in 2017 (just ahead of TJ Watt), 20 career sacks, headcase

honorable mention:
Vic Beasley - 8th overall pick in 2015, had one really good year where he led the league in sacks, but was bad/ mediocre as a pass rusher every other year; out of the league by 2020

THis.

THere are 32 1st round picks every year. What's the number that turns out to be starters?

And what's the number of guys that don't end up being productive at all and go 3 yrs and out the league?

I know he had some off-field issues but is it really fair to call a guy a bust when he has never played TE or WR and you draft him telling him that you want him to play a hybrid of those two positions?

That seems like a huge risk to spend a 1st rd pick on and you can't complain when it doesn't pay off. Dudes like Antonio Gates are the exception, not the rule.

Robert Gallery played 9 years... is that a bust?

It wasn't his fault he was drafted to the dysfunctional Raiders organization.

True, that Penn State team had some good players on offense. Never realized Biakbutakookoo, whatever, was drafted that high. Seems funny now that teams invested that much in a RB, look at the Saints thinking Ricky Williams could save them.

Rosen, and I think just how quickly his career was derailed and with coaching change/scheme change that nobody really blames him.

Nevermind. Didn’t mean to say Chase Young. Wanted to say Dwayne Haskins but I was reading the news that Washington had just declined Young’s fifth year option.
