That is why I wouldn't trust any combine. You have 3/ 4 years of tape you see what some one have done.

every now and then a Josh Allen pops up. there's room for both

Could be. He only played 9 games before tearing his ACL in 2021. Came back for the last 3 games last season. Washington is playing it smart IMO. See how he comes back healthy before paying him a lot more money. Basically, they want him to earn it.

As an LSU board here is one we never talk about:
Tyson Jackson.

3rd overall pick that never wound up getting his footing in the NFL.

I think that's partly because even tRant's biggest sunshine pumpers are still shocked that he went that high.

Couple that with a solid if unspectacular career, and he just doesn't seem to rise to the level of bust based on our expectations of him.

I guess not mentioned as much as he is around his home town. I really never hear much about him.

Some may not qualify as "busts", but plenty or WR didn't live up to what I thought they'd be:

Peter Warrick FSU WR
Mike Williams USC WR
Roy Williams Texas WR
Charles Rogers Michigan State WR

So how do we classify Blaine Gabbert? It was known pretty quick he wasn’t worth the pick, yet he just got a ring at 33yo backing up Mahomes lol

QBs I feel like are their own thing, and honestly I wouldn’t put any of them in this thread because if you suck at QB that’s all anyone will talk about, not a whole lot of guys going under the radar at that position

I think the only reason gabbert isn’t mention much is because the jags had 14 other busts around the same time and did the bortles thing like 3 years later, new shiny toy came through to make fun of

You can’t be a bust in the 3rd round?

Aaron Curry might be the biggest bust I can remember. He was considered one of the safest picks ever and sucked. Other busts had vocal doubters already and proved those doubters correct.

Always thought Locker was overrated coming out of Washington. Great athlete had all the physical measurables but I always thought as QB he was ordinary.

Someone mentioned John Ross, also from Washington. Speed that was ridiculous and decent hands. Always wondered why he did not make it in the NFL
