He let the players decide. They probably all knew who he was talking about once he brought it up. shite, one kid said if there's a cancer you gotta cut it out.

just like everything else coach sanders does, it's all about him. Cutting a dude (an amateur student athlete, despite the lulz that will come from actually referring to them as such) should be done in private and expalin why. Or even if you want to do it publicly in front of the whole team like that, fine. Do it in front of his teammates and caoches. but it shouldn't be broadcast worldwide for all to see liek that.

But of course, then we wouldn't be talking about deion.

Who doesn’t like adult leadership singling out and humiliating college kids in front of their peers while having it videoed?

This board is constantly saying all these coddled kids need to be taught real discipline, we get video of a kid learning the hard way if you frick around you'll find out, and now y'all don't like it?

That’s fricking classless. He is the leader of that team. HE should absolutely take ownership of that move and not shift that burden on the teammates. He should call that player into his office, tell him to pack his bags, and then inform the team on why he was removed and that this is the new norm going forward. The same message is sent. But no, he acted like a classless piece of shite and shifted the burden off of his shoulders and displayed the exact opposite of leadership. How anyone would ever want to play for this douchebag is beyond me.

Props on not knowing all the facts of how it got to this point.

We don't know the backstory. We don't know what the kid did, didn't do, etc. Deion is the coach. He can run the team how he decides. That's the way I see it.

On one hand, I agree.

On the other, it’s a much more powerful lesson if your teammates kick you off the team. It sounded like this kid had been fricking around before and bringing the team down.

I’m torn.

Not cool coach prime ! I won't watch it. But you don't film it and post it on social media.

NOT COOL !

I like the way he handled this. He gave the kid ample chances. At that point he brought it to the team, and let them decide whether he should stay or go.

I think the team already had a good idea about who Deion was talking about. It's clear they were broken up into offense/defense. The rest of his boys in red(whether they were O or D) all had his back. But overall the team decided they were tired of his mess.

I don't necessarily like that private team-bonding moments are shared worldwide like this. But they don't call him PrimeTime for nothing.

He's either going to soar or crash, and I am here for it.

My best guess is that he has very exciting initial success followed by a complete collapse as the high level talent he brings in clashes with his leadership style.

I disagree. Allowing the team to have a say on things regarding the team isn't bad leadership. It's just a different style of leadership. Deion would still have the final say either way it goes.

Don't necessarily like it in front of the whole team would still tell the kid in private. Even if the kid is a total jackass to his teammates.

Kid fricked around and found out

Don’t be a thug and it wouldn’t have happened, simple as that.

Maybe I agree with taking the poll, but publicly telling him to get out? No way.

Be a man, talk to him one on one after that meeting. He does these things for show, pretty clear.

So basically a team vote

Anyone who was ok with Miles letting the team vote on Jeremy Hill's fate should be ok here as well

Also, the team vote pretty much let you know what his teammates thought of him and his action

It must have been that bad if your teammates want you to gtfo
