I had a little mini glove before I got my first real one when I was about 7

It was a Rawlings Darryl Strawberry.

Don’t remember the very first one, but the first nice glove I got was a black Rawlings Trap-Eze when I was 15. I babied that thing and it lasted almost 30 years before I had to replace it.
I’ve played softball for years and both my boys play baseball, so my new gloves get lots of use. I bought another Trap-Eze but couldn’t find a black one. Got the brown version. I thought I’d lost it at my kids park and so I bought a Wilson A2K and then found the Rawlings in the office lost and found about a year later. Apparently they put the nicer gloves in the office.
The two recent gloves were “used.” I used quotes because if they were used, they’d been thrown with maybe 10 times. Both were almost 50% off regular price. Definitely look for lightly used gloves for great deals if you need a new one.

I have a Rawlings that I've had since I was about 18 or 19. I'm now 74 but haven't used it since I was 30.

Rawlings Cal Ripkin Jr
Still have it its dried out and has zero padding in the palm .
The new gloves are crazy soft and pretty much broken in Wilson a500 the best you can buy at a reasonable price point.

No clue. It would have been in 1969 on my first little league team.

Probably like a Ninja Turtles one, then a basic Rawlings or Wilson from KMart as I moved into coach pitch.
Eventually I acquired one of those Rawlings with the pump up feature.
Finished my Little League career with dark tan Nokona.
I went back to a Rawlings or Wilson when I started playing first base. That thing is laying around somewhere. The others were passed down to my brother.
This is nostalgic as hell. I used to rub those bastards down with Vaseline, stick them under my mattress, rubber bands, etc.

I actually still have mine tucked away in a climate controlled storage facility with some other old family things I put in there after my parents passed away. It’s over 40 years old.
I have a bunch of good baseball and football cards from around 1990 in there as well that are in mint condition.

I can still remember it like it was yesterday. My first glove was a Red, White, and Blue Roberto Clemente Rawlings I picked out from the Green Stamp Store in Baton Rouge.
