Or at worse, he's a close second to Eldrick Tont Woods. The man is just unbelievable.

He is amazing for sure. I just hope to get to see him in person before he retires. He almost never plays in the states. Last summer when Barcelona came to Dallas he didn't even make the trip with the team. The scrubs played.

He's the most balanced person I've ever seen. It's pretty incredible.

When you discuss GOAT of GOATS, Gretzky is probably the guy.

My buddy is a huge Liverpool fan. I texted him when it was 1-0 and asked how he was doing. Two seconds later Messi scores the rebound. He told me to never text him again. When I saw Messi lining up for free kick I asked him what he was doing for dinner. Messi drains the free kick.
I’m a dick

For people who don't like/watch soccer, watching Messi would really open them up to the sport. The guy is on such a higher level than his peers and he's all action. He gets the rock and immediately goes forward.
eta: I read a stat earlier that compared him to other players across all of Europe. When it comes to playing through balls, or key passes, the gap between Messi and #2, is larger than the gap between #2 and #20. He's approaching Gretzky levels when it comes to comparisons amongst some of the greatest in their respective sports.

CR7 has plenty of highlight goals. He isn't as creative a player but he's every bit the finisher Messi is, and is probably better as he's able to be more physical at his size.
Messi being short in some ways makes it hard for me to call him the GOAT. In some ways it makes him better (like his balance for example) but his slight frame gets him boxed out a ton too
