Growing up most people around me were Cowboys fans and I'm a contrarian by nature. The Saints have been terrible for most of their existence so they had no appeal. I generally pull for whoever has the most LSU players.

Raised an Oiler fan. Hardcore, working clsss fans. This new breed of Texans fans…. Dressing up to try and get on TV. Having first down cheers like it is some kind of accomplishment. Texans fans tailgating, not even going into the stadium, Bunch of bitches.
Teams like Buffalo, Green Bay, Chicago, etc…. They still got it.

Grew up in New Orleans but I have family in Baltimore. Became a Colts fan at an early age and loved them even more after they drafted Bert. The Saints were dreadful so it was an easy decision. Once the Colts moved to Indy I was done with them and have never been able to like the Ravens.

I live in Atlanta, but I'm a Saints fan. I grew up in Louisiana, but as a young teen, we moved out here. Technically, at this point, I've lived in Georgia longer than Louisiana, but I'll never ever be a Falcons fan.
My Dad was a Saints fan. He took me to my first game at the Dome in 07. I've been hooked ever since.

Grew up in N. LA where we were effectively equidistant between Dallas and NOLA, but I've been a Steelers fan all my life.
Terry Bradshaw played at LA Tech and my dad taught Larry Anderson while he attended Tech, so I was raised to be a Steelers fan. Everything I got in my early childhood years that was football related was Steelers related. I grew up wanting to be able to hit like Jack Lambert and catch like Lynn Swann.
I wasn't even aware of the Saints until I saw a friend wearing a helmet and thought it was pretty cool, so I asked about them. I think this was when they were rarely ever on TV since they were just awful. I did adopt them as my "other" team during my junior high years and still root for them as long as they're not playing the Steelers.

Growing up, I was a 49ers and Redskins fan. 49ers because Montana was my favorite player and I really like some of the other players through the late 80s through early/mid 90s. Redskins because my brother was a huge fan. Growing up here in SC ( still live here) and before the Panthers came into existence, everyone was either a Cowboys, Redskins, or Steelers fan. There was several Dolphins and Giants fans sprinkled in.
Lost interest in the 49ers after the mid 90s. Focused more on the Redskins but lost interest through the late Synder years and lost all interest when the name change happened.
I always rooted for the Panthers to do well since they were a local team but never could get invested in them.
I haven’t had an NFL team since the Redskins name change. Been trying to figure out which team to become a fan of. Any suggestions? I do hate the Cowboys.

Im still mad because the Oilers left for Nashville and took our colors with them. I can't stand the NFL for that.
But while I don't go around yelling and screaming for the Texans, I hope they win because it's the local team, but I do it quietly
