re: How do we feel about this? Fan yells something about Marte's mother who passed in 2017.

Back in college, we would heckle the opposing bullpen and usually ended up talking to them and becoming friendly.
Say some funny shite about how the guy looks, his cleats, or his grades or some shite. Leave family out of it, makes everybody look bad and is unnecessary.
Same. A few buddies of mine would heckle every right fielder. It never got actually personal. The only way it would get tailored to the specific something was silly information they could find on the player's profile that every athletic department has about every athlete in every sport (silly major, silly hobbies, etc.). The players themselves responded by laughing, heckling back, or just flight out ignoring. It never got to personal, actual hurtful stuff.

Fan is trash if they knew
Player is soft
If fan didn’t know about players mom the media who reported this should drop dead

Banning this guy for life is so stupid
Also we have no idea what this guy actually said so it’s hard to really judge it here without knowing

Yeah this is almost 100% a generic mom joke. Still wouldn't advise going around grown men who have possibly lost their mothers saying them, but just saw a video on twitter of the kid getting ejected and he looks confused. Of course we'll never hear what he allegedly said. All over social media, including the MLB official pages, but of course we'll never know what was actually said. Sad.

That is extremely fricked up. You have a total piece of shite as human to do that.

Lost my dad 3 weeks ago tomorrow. Half of me hates this fan knowing what I've gone through, half of me wonders what I'm like 8 years from now and if it's still so real.
New road.
New road.

One of the Fox Sports Radio guys just said, "Is not letting him watch the White Sox really a punishment?".
Posted on 6/26/25 at 6:01 am to TigerReb7
I haven’t found what he actually said but apparently it was bad enough that there’s video of the coaches pointing this guy out. Skipper was trying to get him removed. I suspect this isn’t just a “your mama” comment.

Don’t take this as gospel truth but according to a couple of White Sox message boards, he called Marte’s mother a “bop” … a new expression commonly being used to shame young women by labelling them as promiscuous due to having multiple sexual partners … and yelled at Marte that he was texting her in hell.
According to some doxers on Twitter and TickTock, he’s a 22-year-old from Napierville, Ill. … and if this is the guy, he’s got one of the more punchable faces I’ve seen in a while, he was smirking like an a-hole throughout his ejection … who attended the game wearing a Bears jersey, and in the company of several girls about his age.
He’d already been called down by security by using the F word on the level of Tony Montana in Scarface, and was heckling with juvenile but not crossing the line insults the whole way until he decided to play for keeps.
I think he was just trying to show out for the chicks but he bought himself some hell instead.

If this turns out to be a “yo momma” joke and the kid had no idea then MLB should let him back in. Also if that’s the case then Marte needs to let it rest and move on.

Like I said that’s message board talk but several people who were at the game have posted about it and none of them are defending this guy. I’m not gonna post any links on the chance the doxers are wrong, although one has posted a video of the actual ejection, security telling him to leave. You can find it pretty easily on Twitter, but like I said this guy has a smirk that makes you want to just beat the s**t out of him, and the girl next to him is grinning and not taking it seriously at all.

I mean, fans do this. Players need to focus and ignore this.

A guy in high school who was on my baseball team had his mom die of cancer during the season. We all went to the funeral, and the next day at practice during warm ups he looks at me and says "Hey, msudawg1200 who beat your Reds last night?". He was a Cubs fan, and I'm a Reds fan. The Cubs had beaten the Reds the night before. Without thinking my stupid arse blurts out '"Your mom". You could hear a pin drop. I looked at the guy's face and you could see the hurt. I quickly said "Your Cubs did they kicked my Reds asses man". Never have I felt so low.

If he said what it is being reported he said there is no ignoring it, period. And again, fans are not gods, just because they buy a ticket and support a team and buy that team’s merchandise, they are not entitled to do or say what they want, when they want.

How far did the fan cross the line? Is it shite talking? I know Saints fans saw and heard what the Bears had to say about Katrina in 2007
In all fairness
the 06 Bears did finish what Katrina started.
That game was a bloodbath.

How do they actually ban a guy from the stadium? I suppose they could lock any secondary market account he may have, but I’m sure he could create another. I know these places are loaded with cameras, but they are looking for trouble, not some random guy that was banned for an incident a year ago.

Breaks down crying on the field? During the game? So everybody can see and pity him and give him his attention for his melodrama? I cant stand that phony crying shite. It was 8 YEARS AGO! It would be one thing if it was a week ago and he genuinely couldn’t contain his emotions but this is totally fake.
