Some of my friends and coworkers yesterday were excited about the Cowboys MNF game against Philly. I asked why, and they said because it’s a big game in the NFC East race. shite is laughable. I was spoiled as a kid in the 90’s, but now that I’m old, I’m not about to waste any free time devoted to that shitshow. If it’s on in the background, fine.

I’m past the point of Randy Quaid in Major League. The delusion of “our” fanbase is next level. Why the frick would anybody predict a SB season? It’s a trash organization from the top down, players are soft and generally unlikable on the field. It sure as hell isn’t some badge of honor for me to watch them struggle to beat teams that suck.

I watched the Brewers pile up runs in the second inning of the World Series and was entertained. frick Jerrah. Schotty sucks. Dak is a pussy.

I'm a Cowboys fan. Not sure I've heard a Cowboys fan predict a Super Bowl in the past 10 years. Just a cliche label at this point.

Pels but it helps that I'm not a huge NBA fan
At least the Saints got that Super Bowl

To be fair, I was broken after one of those Green Bay playoff losses around 10 years ago.

I didn’t watch last night. I don’t care to. My rant is mostly about acquaintances and friends getting excited about the team’s prospects going forward.

You had a chance in the early to mid 90’s. Some of those A&M teams were awesome.

I grew up on Saints football in the 80’s and 90’s, I’m callused to disappointment

being a pelicans fan seems pretty hopeless until gayle sells, just a horribly run organization that's treated like a red headed stepchild by a disinterested owner

I saw a stat that since 1997, Tiger Woods has the same amount of DUIs as the Cowboys have playoff wins (4).

It's weird to me to see Cowboys fans so jaded when I saw them win three Super Bowls in the '90's.

Until the two playoff wins in 2023-2024, the Lions had like one playoff win in 60 years. It is looking like 2023 and 2024 were the window and now it's closing.

I attended the Dallas/GB playoff game a couple of years ago, and it crushed the passion I used to feel. Such a sad showing for a once proud franchise. Hell, I used to argue about them and defend them here each week in the game thread. Since then, I still watch, and I want them to win, but I just don't hurt anymore when they lose. So, they broke something.

While funny, technically untrue. He was arrested twice for DUI but not charged in either of them. I think the other two were reckless driving.

I wouldn't say broken, but I used to be very dialed in to the Saints and would watch every game. After the NFC Championship no call game, something clicked in me where I just don't care like that anymore. I still want the team to be good and will watch occasionally, but it's just not as important to me as it used to be. Of course, the team since Brees left hasn't given me much to get excited about.

Even with Cooper Flagg looking like he's a legit all NBA player I still have not been able to watch a Mavs game in full since the Luka trade.I was repping them in the 90s when you'd get laughed at for them being your team. I used to watch all 82 games without fail. I'd go to at least a dozen games per year. I have an entire drawer of Mavs shirts that has not been opened since the trade. I even have fricking Mike Iuzzolino memorabilia.

I want to love them again but every time I try I think about that smug prick Patrick Dumont and get pissed off all over again.
