Cheer up cowboy fans. You could be the yankees.

Yankees just played for a title 2 years ago.
Cowboys haven't even been past the 2nd round since January 1996.

I’m a Minnesota Vikings fan. I watched the 98 nfc championship game as a teenager in a hotel room with aunts/uncles/grandparents who were in town visiting.

After the loss I didn’t cry, or bitch, or anything. Just sat quietly. Everyone thoughts it was best to leave me alone while they went to dinner. I just sat there in disbelief. For hours.

Yeah, sports have definitely broken me

Don’t mind him, he’s obsessed with the Yankees. He will hijack any thread to make it about the 27 Time World Champions.

Being a Lions fan since the mid 60’s can make a man crazy.

The NFL as a league lost me after the NOLA no call. I didn’t watch 3 super bowls in a row after that. Think I skipped another 1 a couple years ago too.

I still enjoy having the Saints on as background noise on Sundays but ultimately the results of NFL games mean nothing to me anymore.

I wouldn't say broken, but I used to be very dialed in to the Saints and would watch every game. After the NFC Championship no call game, something clicked in me where I just don't care like that anymore. I still want the team to be good and will watch occasionally, but it's just not as important to me as it used to be. Of course, the team since Brees left hasn't given me much to get excited about.

This is me exactly, was at the no call game and it broke my GAF

Are you retarded? The Yankees have five World Series titles since the last time Dallas even played in a Super Bowl.

The Royals with George Brett, Hall Mcrae, and many others spoiled me and now we have this ineptitude. They have won a title in the past 10 or so years but I hardly watch any pro baseball games anymore. I dont even follow them on social media to see if they won or loss.

I fear my Chiefs are going to be in the same routine soon as Homes seems to have lost his fast ball and they have plenty of missing pieces.

No

But I’m ashamed to admit that the Saints/Rams NFCCG completely deflated my love for the NFL

You got 3 Super Bowl wins out of this run and a solid team this year. That buys you a long stretch of football satisfaction I would think.

The Redskins. I thought I would get back into it more after the ownership change, but my Sundays have changed permanently.

Pels but it helps that I'm not a huge NBA fan

the Pels is a good example. I want to be a fan - I adopted them as my NBA team, and if I watch any NBA it's a Pels game, I have a group of friends that I go to 1 or 2 Pels games a year with and I have a group thread with my nephews where we talk Pels.

But their best players are always hurt - so frustrating. And this year they finally have a full roster - no one hurt - and they blow 4th quarter leads in all of the first 3 games. No dogs on that team. I'm at the point where the one game we go to this year may be the only one I watch.

Longtime Cowboys fan. At least I was alive and able to enjoy the mid 90s, but damn that was a long time ago.
