I don't see how after 28-3 any Falcons fan didn't just walk away and never watch another NFL game ever. It really doesn't get any worse than that.

I quit watching the Falcons, but for basically the opposite reason lol. I don't think I'll ever see the Falcons leading a Super Bowl by 25 points again - that was the best it will ever be for that organization.
The Atlanta Hawks are even worse & truly broke me. 20+ years of 35-45 win seasons, not too bad, not very good. The definition of mediocrity in fact. The one time they made it to the ECF, they got completely daddied by LeBron & went 0-4. That was their best season in decades.

I was a teenager in high school when Tim Couch hit that hail Mary in the Dome. I was 5th row at the goalline and it happened right in front of me - my dad and I both left that game as dejected as could be.

Hawks also made it in 2021 (lost 4-2 to the Bucks)

28-3 was rock bottom in my sports fandom. UGA, Braves winning championships since have made it better.

I’m a Raiders fan since the Bo Jackson era. Hasn’t happened yet.
Iowa basketball went 27 years between sweet 16s and never lost me. And I took my son to ensure he is hooked on misery this year when they broke it.

I'll show my age here but the NHL broke my Blues fandom nearly completely when they punished the Blues for a free agent signing by awarding the New Jersey Devils Scott Stevens.
The Blues were on the cusp of finally breaking through their glass ceiling. They had Brett Hull, Adam Oates, Curtis Joseph, but Scott Stevens was the force on the team that made them dangerous when things got serious in the playoffs.
Then the Blues signed Brendan Shannahan before he was Brendan Shannahan. The NHL arbitrator awarded the Devils Steven's who would be the backbone of three Stanley Cup teams in the following dozen seasons. Shannahan, Hull, and Joseph would eventually leave the Blues and win Stanley Cups for other teams. Shannahan didn't develop into the kind of player Stevens already was for years (if ever). Take Stevens from the Devils and they win zero Stanley Cups. Put him back on the Blues and they get at least a couple.
As a young fan I knew what I was seeing. It was punishment from the league for signing an expensive contract. The punishment was a strategic removal of the most important young player for future playoff success.
The Blues were never the same in the 90s. It was over and it wasn't worth investing my time watching after the summer of 1991 for years to follow.

I’ll never lose that passion for LSU football unless I lose it for all of CFB. This era is testing me.
I’ll admit to being spoiled with Dallas success in the 90’s. Unfortunately, it made Jerrah think he had all the answers. I’m past being mad. Their wins and losses don’t move the needle for me in either direction. Apathy is the worst thing for a sports fan.

Atlanta Falcons multiple times over mostly due to Arthur Blanks ineptitude and inability to fire his management and hire people who don’t want to be micromanaged by someone who has never run an NFL organization

If Jessica doesn’t divorce Joe Malloy, George was giving ownership powers to him and her….. it would’ve been great, bc he was extremely well liked by George.

It's weird to me to see Cowboys fans so jaded when I saw them win three Super Bowls in the '90's.
They are very soft, low character people.

I’m fortunate that all of my teams have had long periods of great success.

Started watching and paying attention in 2003. I've bee fortunate but the Braves came close in the 10 run 1st inning game against St Louis in 2019.
