I was thinking Tim Tebow or Cameron Newton to begin with but then I thought maybe one of Georgia Techs or Navy quarterbacks might qualify. frick man I don't know. I'm just frickin guessing. Nick Marshall was good too that dirty dog!

Compared to the steel curtain defenses Nebraska was going against in the mid 90s at those powerhouses in the state of Kansas... Yes
Kansas State had the top-ranked defense in the country in 1995. I believe they were the last P5 team to record three shutouts in a row, too. KSU came into the game undefeated and ranked #8 in the country. Nebraska was leading 42-6 at the end of the third quarter. Frazier had a field day running and throwing the football.

Super impressed with the shut outs of
2-9 Akron
3-8 Northern Illinois
And 3-8 Mizzou who got shut out 3 times in 1995 and averaged 16 ppg
Clearly they were superior to an Nick Saban coached defense. I'd like to see how many more 1st draft picks they produced than the 2013 Bama team

Not saying he's the best, but Marques Tuiasosopo was a fantastic option QB. I believe he is still the only QB in history to throw for 300 and run for 200 in the same game, and he did it while injured. Won the Rose Bowl and finished #3 in the country in his Senior year.

Tommie Frazier (Nebraska)

OK, I read to page 3 before posting, and it's hard to argue against Frazier, but how has Kordel Stewart not been mentioned yet. He's at least in the conversation.

Actually that team should have been playing in the National Championship and not FSU
They had beat Miami and their only loss was against OSU by 3 a team that crushed ND in the Fiesta Bowl 41-9.
Best season to date for PNW football because Oregon was very good that year as well.
People often forget how great the PAC 10 was in the 90's especially in the late 90's to early 2000's

You need to draw a distinction between the traditional old school option that Tommy Frazier ran and the new more modern style that Tebow or Newton ran, very different schemes.
Frazier is the best traditional option QB.

Tommie Frazier.
"The Run" against Florida is still one of the most impressive plays I've ever seen. Made a very good Florida team look like scrubs.

Jamelle Holieway
Watch his highlights the guy was unreal. I believe he was better than Frazier although Frazier could throw the ball better.

No. Aubie held lsu defender on the td that was the last score.
Winning on an obvious hold is not dominant. Game changer.
Never change, LSU fan. Never, ever change.
