trying to figure out what he did that was wrong. Ball goes into the floor seat crowd, he gives the ball to the ref. Was he supposed to just hold onto the basketball as a souvenir? WHy was Luka mad about it?

That’s not how you return the ball. You wait for her to ask for it or maybe bounce it slowly to get. Instead he threw the ball fairly forcefully at someone that hadn’t asked for it and wasn’t expecting it at that moment. She just barely got her arm up in time to block it.

He passed her the ball but she wasn't looking so they basically treated it like he was trying to hit her with it when he clearly wasn't, just retarded.

Yea he throws a chest pass like he’s trying to hit someone on a break at a ref who is in the middle of signaling a call and then looks around like what

I thought that was a very mild toss. Very much of an overreaction. I wonder how much he paid for those tickets. I noticed that his girlfriend didn’t go with him. I will see you later.

Yes, he probably should have made sure she was looking before he zipped it over to her.
And, this is a ridiculous overreaction. He obviously wasn’t trying to beam the ball at her. Maybe we just talk about it instead of tossing the guy? Give him a chance to explain that he got a little excited and didn’t mean any harm?
Oh right, can’t do that. We have to assume the worst about everyone, punish accordingly, and ask questions later. If at all.

The male ref with slicked down hair that came over to talk to Luka is from Dallas. He was at Mavs games in the 90's always visiting with the refs. The Mavs employees all knew him since he was in high school, and said he wanted to be a ref. He looks the same as he looked back then, except for the hair gel.
