Heard from a fairly trustworthy source that he and Brother Martin are not seeing eye to eye and may have played his last for BM.

Probably wants to graduate early and the Catholic League schools don’t really allow that.

Couldn't he just take his GED if he wants to leave early?

That’s what it’ll come down to.
Brother Martin, or any of the Catholic Schools, are not going to give a diploma to an athlete that leaves in December.

Not so fast, but one has and the kid(s) had to meet ALL of their schools academic requirements (which are more than state mins. Which required summer school).

BM let him take classes over the summer to graduate in December

Nussmeier will be a Georgia early entry which means he will be leaving Rummel at Christmas.
So we know Rummel doesn't care.

Royal hasn't played a live snap. Scrimmage or Jamboree.
He has a lot of money on the line. This is the new reality so I'm not saying I blame him.
I heard months ago he was unlikely to play this year or his play would be severely restricted.
Does he really need to risk a knee blow up in some meaningless game.

Jesuit and Brother Martin think of themselves as being a higher standard than Rummel, lol.
I didn’t know about the Summer classes that Brother Martin allowed, so maybe this is more a Jesuit thing than overall Catholic League thing.
There is a distinction between getting a diploma from the school and leaving early. For the most part, I think the schools will allow the kids to leave early, but just won’t give them a diploma from the school.

I’ve mentioned this elsewhere…but I’ll say it again. I’m convinced that there are countless football players that don’t really care about winning anymore. It’s all about self promotion to get to the next level and secure the bag of cash. The wins and losses don’t mean anything in the quest to get rich. Once you get to the NFL, it’s essentially the same. Get the big contract and coast.

NIL effect on high school players, why risk getting hurt if you already have offers and looking at hundreds of thousands.
The #1 recruit in Louisiana may be looking at a million dollars at 18-19 years old.
Frick high school

NIL has ruined college football
It’s now ruining high school football

If he has enough credits he could just get a generic State of LA diploma. Had a kid from my private Catholic school do this because he missed too many days of class his senior year to graduate

I think Brother Martin will be fine… they may or may not have Easton Royal, but they’ll have a legit team regardless
