The recruiting on 2k8 was so incredibly deep. You were recruiting down to high school freshman and sophomores if I remember right. Progressing your coaching career and moving up the ladder was awesome too. Played the shite out of that game my sophomore/junior year of college

I pull out 2k8 every March about 2 weeks before March Madness and get lost in the recruiting every time, it’s such a deep game.

Graphics are god awful compared to now but really shows that a good deep game is a good deep game no matter what it looks like

better hope they worked it from the ground up, and didn't just copy and paste the code from Madden...

this year's Madden was an absolutely terrible, bug riddled game... so many features, both online and offline, are constantly broken.... it literally became unplayable...

when they started the MUT transactions, that's when the Madden franchise started to die...

Thank you Northwestern. You didn’t contribute anything to college football anyway and managed to also ruin one of the greatest video game franchises in history

And let's not forget equally irrelevant Ed O'Bannon who killed the franchise in the first place.

Notice how quickly the world went downhill after the game was stopped. Just an observation.

I’ve been watching YouTube vids of guys playing Revamped NCAA14 but for the life of me cannot figure out how they did it. It looks like a brand new game

They are using the Madden engine so they’ll inevitably ruin this game

I always thought madden games were too dark. Ncaa had a brighter look to it

I wonder how bad they’re going to ruin it with their micro transaction, card collecting mode. Those modes have pretty much destroyed every other sports game.

So would each player get the same flat rate to use their name? Did the old game have a feature to create players?

When the first version of a college football video game in years comes out next summer, the virtual likenesses of actual players will be in the game.

An EA Sports representative confirmed to ESPN on Wednesday that it has contracted with OneTeam Partners to "facilitate collegiate athletes' names and likenesses" into the game, solving one of the major questions about college football's return to the video game space.

The partnership will include the chance for all eligible FBS players to opt in to have their likenesses in EA Sports College Football, the representative said. Those players will receive compensation for being placed in the game.

A lot of time and love. I decided to jailbreak my PS3 to play Revamped and yes, it does feel like a totally different game than the unmodded NCAA 14. The computer AI received slight modifications to make it somewhat more realistic based on your tendencies instead of just countering your call with the perfect play every time. There are some graphical upgrades that makes the game "feel" different as well...more fluid. There's still the issue with computer defenders being unjukable at times...but, that's minor. For a free mod this game has a crap ton of new content that makes the hour running back and forth to your computer worth it.

If they would have put a price tag on it, it would definitely have been justified. But, I guess given the risks of modding and jailbreaking its better to keep it free.

Will dynasty mode now include some kind of NIL component?

NCAA and Madden always had different feels and styles. If they were just reskinning madden it would be out next year.

EA would take that long to re-skin Madden, b/c they've created a monster and are inefficient at doing anything.

I imagine this is going to be a disaster until the 3rd or 4th patch. EA built a shite monster with the new generation of Madden and keep piling on shite fixes to create a shite sandwich every year.

Current Madden looks terrible, is glitchy, and relies on animations over control. They can never fix anything of note because it's too complex and they are too slow. I can't imagine they're building something from the ground up for NCAA.

You used to allocate recruiting points to players in the old games. Not sure how they are going to do recruiting now, but it seems like you could easily implement something similar for NIL. Also, have players with different personalities or factors that are important to them (which I think they've also done in the past) so that if a player doesn't have NIL $$ as a high priority you don't have to allocate as much to them.
