This sounds like something an unsavvy rapper would be involved in.

Yeah I would think that in order I have even $1 mil of jewelry insured you would have to have it appraised regularly? Like every 2-3 years.

I'm going to really laugh when pictures of this jewelry surface and it's ugly as hell.

I know the stuff I buy/bought I received an appraisal from the jeweler then I got a secondary appraisal for someone independent and submitted both for insurance purposes

None of his financial guys clued him in, which shocks me really. You know with him being in on Jimmy John's and Walk-On's he would have other people handling his money

I’m assuming that you get, by far, the best blowjob of your life when you buy your wife an $8MM ring

Brees always struck me as pretty smart, but "investing" in jewelry is petty dumb. Diamonds are some of the most overpriced items in the world. DeBeers created a brilliant marketing campaign.....the guys in the diamond district in NYC will tell you this.

I don't have any idea, but I'm guessing his 'investment' in jewelry was more of a maintain his money than make money. The jeweler himself said the appraisal was based on future increases in value rather than its current worth. Likely Bs too.

But when you have as much net worth as someone like Brees, financially you look for places to store your money that you can also potentially enjoy. You only want so much of your net worth in the stock market, as you don't need the income and don't want to take a monster loss during a crash.

Given that, jewelry seems like a dumbass thing to buy. Now the whole workd knows Brees has a shite ton of it. But items like collectible cars, art, land, etc. are more what I was referring to. Hopefully they go up in value, but you also get to store your money in something you can enjoy.

Isn't it blasphemy to speak this way about Drew on a Louisiana-based website?

Here is some pics of the jewelry. I've seen better looking jewelry at the local Wal Mart.

Sounds like Drew needs to go back to licking his lips and eyefricking the camera for Cox Communications to help make ends meet.
