It was on national signing day,

But mixed in the transfer portal now and it’s complete anarchy.

It’s not capitalism at all.

It’s ridiculous and lazy to suggest it is.

Mack should name names. Stop hiding and name them if it happened.

Politicians made this happen. Those people ruin everything they touch.

No the NCAA made this happen by being stubborn idiots, leading to a 9-0 USSC ruling.

Then the NCAA threw a temper tantrum and instead of issuing regs, tried to create chaos

Why are y’all mentioning Alabama?

Who has Alabama paid like this?

How is selling your NIL not capitalism?

It's actually the purest form of capitalism.

Predict the value, pay the predicted value, see if your organization benefits, the market sets accordingly.

Not A&M despite Lincoln Riley's efforts to poach Conner Weigman.

35 TD passes & 7 rushing TDs vs. 7 INTs as a true freshman. OK.

There are two sides to this.

Yes, selling your NIL is capitalism.

My point was that not allowing NIL to be sold is not anti-capitalism.

The NCAA fricked up by not taking action and structuring it correctly with some rules, but placing restrictions on voluntary members is not anti-capitalism in any way.

you're insane if you think Gordon is only just now bankrolling LSU players.

Bingo, the NCAA has been turning a blind eye for years for the majority of the P5 programs.

But if App State, North Texas or Tulsa would have participated with a booster in something like this, the hammer would have been dropped.

Because he's the likely No. 1 or No. 2 player drafted next year and his family are generations of UNC graduates, including his brothers (one is on the basketball team now).

A prominent alumni, especially an NFL QB, can make way more over his career due to his relationship to his state and prominent boosters. Why would he trash that over $5 million?

I bet Peyton Manning has made $50 million or more, due to his relationship with Tennessee.

Some of you people are way to short-sighted.

Listen, prick, I'm not a Drake Maye fanboy like you, so those reasons are something I wasn't considering. I also asked why a college player would pass on that kind of money, not specifically this dude. The one being short-sighted is you. $5 million is just setting the baseline NIL market for college stars.

You just had a post on this same page saying it isn't capitalism.

Make up your mind.

Thanks for linking part of my post.

I was saying that capitalism is not justification for the current system. I never said NIL was not capitalism.

I said “it” is not capitalism. Selling anything is capitalism, but restricting it is not necessarily anti-capitalism.

You’re probably a bit to smooth brained to grasp that.

Oh, we've reached the insult portion of this. Guess that means I win.

By the way, it is still very much capitalism.
