re: I have to hand it to Texas

The coattail riders from Austin showed some guts this year when they could've folded in certain road games; I'll give em that. I won't praise em for not opting out of a high profile bowl matchup, however, because they're certainly not above playing it and didn't have much of an argument for making the playoff in its current setup.
Somehow I am starting to loathe Notre Dame more than any other school even SEC ones. What an absolute crock of shite.

and actually a disproportionate amount seemingly from Aggie. what gives ?

Somehow Bama getting in is a problem for Notre Dame despite them losing worse to Clemson in their conference championship game rematch in 2020 which screwed A&M who was arguably the better team. All the talking heads acted like the Irish making the playoff was a foregone conclusion that year despite getting trucked by a Clemson team with Trevor Lawrence unlike in the first meeting. I understood why A&M missed out, but I'm very happy that ND isn't getting the same preferential treatment they've clearly received in the past. Aggies essentially ended their season after the first few weeks in their house.
OP hasn't forgotten how much of a pain in Oklahoma's arse Tech was in the Big 12 at times.
Notre Dame tears are the best tears, and A&M essentially ending their season after the first few weeks is the cherry on top.

TT lost to Arizona State.

With a backup QB, no?

Tech has impressed this year, but they still shouldn't get a bye with a loss on their record.
Remember, they beat A&M by 24 points last year. Of course they'll be in the hunt in 2026.

I grew up with one of the 12 and watched her become the epitome of the "all-american girl", so yeah, it gets personal.

Not sure why the university even matters to some when it comes to this tragedy.
The coattail riders from Austin and their "rivals" the land thieves simply did as they were told.
Elko turned A&M around in less than 2 years after the mess Jimbo made. He's worth the money.
But i was enjoying all the speculation that somehow Elko was leaving A&M.

The Cornhuskers are still arguably the most dominant CFB dynasty in my lifetime. They absolutely mauled teams.
Oh, Cocks will be beaten like they've never been beaten before.

Oh look, Nostradamus farted about Aggy again!
"Sand Flea" is the proper nomenclature for Tech now, but I am glad that they're finally relevant in football again. They were down for way too long.

Plenty horn fans had already paid big bucks to attend the game in College Station last year along with having already seen their team lose to UGA in Austin.

Just some other factors to consider.

If A&M manages to get to Atlanta and/or make the playoff nothing else will matter. Some people are just miserable and would still yap if the Ags went 16-0.
