Down 8%+ on IRA and 5%+ on brokerage today. All you can do is laugh at how much faster it can go down.....escalator up and elevator down.

Down 2.5% today, was very lucky that I had exited positions Wednesday and Thursday and was in a lot of cash. Had an order for EDIT which filled at open at 2.90 and ate that, but otherwise did alot better than I would have on a normal week. Still got smoked.

I don’t worry about bad days unless they are a monumental crash that earns a nickname. If it becomes a bad 6 months or year, then I’m concerned.

The worst day I can remember in my trading account. Down a little over 3%. I do have some dry powder and picked up some OUST near the low for the day. Now on to Monday.

Volatility is not a good thing for the markets. Take a look at some crazy rallies during bear markets. Not saying that’s what this is the start of just saying volatility is not a good thing. You want the VIX below 20 and nice 10-20bps move days. Not 250bps moves in a day.

Down 2.2% in brokerage account and 1.05% in Roth. Closer to 3% in brokerage if only counting stock positions and not counting cash in the account
