If you left early today thinking nice big green day and logged in at close you were in for a nice surprise.

Yeah, ya right. Left mid to late morning to pick up lunch for a granddaughter's student grandparents' lunch at her school. Checked on trading account much later in the afternoon only to see that it is down more (dollar wise) than I can remember.

We will see what tomorrow brings.

She also had an LSU banner in her front yard of their house in Frisco.
Feel much better about my trailing stop loss hitting then I did when it filled at $106. But I got back in at $98.00 and have a limit order in for more at $80.00. Off for a round of golf so it will be interesting to see how things work out today. Promise to buy a beer after the round.
Massive volume 44 million vs 16 million avg
Low of the day below 100

Trailing Stop Loss filled at $106 and some change but can't complain with avg cost basis at $31. Will buy back at least 100 shares if it opens below $100 in the morning. Sitting at $102 after hours.

10/22/25 Dallas Love - almost no line for a 6 AM flight.;

10/28/25 New Orleans about 10 to 15 minutes in line.

I was pleasantly surprised how nice all the TSA people were considering they weren't getting paid as usual.

Any Experience Lending Securities?

Posted by PlanoPrivateer on 10/31/25 at 12:38 pm
I received the following message from Fidelity.

"Did you know this account could earn you additional income by lending securities you already own?"

From what little I know as the lender I would not receive any dividends paid out and not have a vote. I would still be able to sell my shares anytime I wanted.

Does anyone have any experience doing this?

Damn I have my stop loss set at $104. Just saw I came close to getting closed out. Might be time to rethink that and set up a trailing stop-loss. Didn't think I'd need it at the time and set it up after we flew to $140.

Me too. I had a stop loss at $105 and some change. I replaced it with an $80 trailing stop loss.
Trading account up 29.7% as of today (down 3% yesterday)

IRA up 11.5% as of end of quarter 9/30/25. 60% stocks 40% bonds and net after taking some Required Minimum Distributions.

Side note. Got lucky this week. Took out my wife's entire RMD for this year on Thursday one day before the big dip on Friday.

Speaking of the “bubble”

I began buying NBIS and NVDA in January. Both have done so well that individually they represent about 10% of my brokerage account. I've done something I rarely do and that is put in trailing stop loss orders on both short term holds. I usually only use stop loss on stocks I've held long term. I have to do some end of year income tax estimations and big, short-term gains can give me headaches. But I had to do it to somewhat protect the huge runup these two have had.

Thanks to the MT folks for bringing these two (and some others) to my attention. I'll enjoy a Black and Tan this afternoon at my grandson's soccer game.

The thing I don’t get about videos like this is that no one stops these people. I want to believe that if I was in this situation I would not stand there and just video it. Not a tough guy, but frick man.

My take on a situation like this is a little different than yours. It doesn't appear that anyone is in danger of harm. If I was the owner, I would rather have video of the event than a presumed filming customer trying to intervene. The video is better evidence than a statement to the police. I hope the police were called and this person was arrested.

We have one tournament every year where we play a modified alternate shot. I forgot what the name of it is but both players tee off. You then pick the best shot and the player that did not hit that drive hits the second shot and with that one ball alternate the rest of the hole.

Fine for me on Fidelity. Just bought 100 shares to be sure. The trade went through.

The 1969 LSU Tigers sat at home when the cotton bowl took ND. LSU would have had a great shot at winning that game.
The worst part of that situation was that ND had refused to go to any bowl games saying their student athletic season was long enough and they had to concentrate on academics. They changed their position on bowl games late that season after LSU and the Cotton Bowl had an understanding but before bowl invitations could be issued. If ND had said they would consider going to bowl games before season started or even midway through the season LSU wouldn't have got snubbed.

Well the chef might FAFO that her free speech might also have some consequences. Not death but hopefully a change in venue.
Great to hear from you. A lot of LSU baseball fans were worried when you apparently dropped of the board.
Harbor, Sellers, and Swain all looked very fast.

I keep hearing that by claiming the properties as her primary residence she received a better rate on her mortgage. True. But what about getting a homestead exemption to lower her property taxes? Seems like that would be a problem. Maybe she didn't file for a homestead exemption but if she did that would be defrauding the state not just the banks.
And 75% of the latest distributions have been return of capital.
I gasped when I first read this sad news. My wife heard me and asked what I was reading.

I have no idea of who she was in real life. But, I know she was one of the good ones on Tiger Droppings. She will be missed.

Prayers for her family. RIP Gris Gris.
