really liking this season, lots of nuanced and complex thoughts on world power very well articulated.

Seems like a win-win deal to me, not imperialism. Both venezuela and the US benefit from this, big time.

First game of the season is always a little tricky, especially with a brand new O-line and QB for us. East Carolina actually had a pretty good team last year, especially on defense. They were 25th in the nation there. They are only returning 3 starters from that D, and now have a new D-coordinator, so lots of unknowns for them. Jasiyah Robinson is probably their best returning defensive player and he was damn solid last year: 5 sacks, lots of hurries and a forced fumble. He's a pre-season all american conference player.

Offensively they are basically replacing everyone including the OC (who is now Ole Miss' OC). They were 20th in the nation averaging 450 yards per game last year. They only return 1 starter from that team, a WR. They have two QBs which could see playing time Mitch Griffis is the starter and transfer from Texas Tech/Wake Forrest. Not a lot of numbers on him from Texas Tech, but he did start 9 games at Wake and had modest production. The other QB is a Miami transfer, Emory Williams, who didn't play much last year, but is huge. They have some hogs on o-line mostly made up of transfers.

Hard to really know what to expect with so many new players and coordinators for ECU, but I would imagine all of that newness would be advantageous to Bama. Their pash rush may give us trouble, but their secondary is mostly a question mark and possible weakness. I'm predicting 42-17 Bama, Roll Tide!

Well, I doubted the guy after the terms of the peace deal were released.... but I gotta say, I was wrong. Sounds like we've got them by the balls now.

Rexaceract is a drug they are researching and in early trials now which modifies the disease itself, the first drug to show promise on that front. The drug is in early trial phases and the CEO released this statement this week:

"Mr. Mack continued, "We remain focused on completing the ongoing nine-month extension of our Phase 1b study, with final data expected to be presented at the International Congress of Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorders in Korea in October 2026, while advancing preparations for our Phase 2 clinical program. As of June 30, 2026, 14 of the 16 participants that elected to enroll in the Phase 1b nine-month extension had completed Day 270 with seven of those crossing the Day 360 mark. To date, MDS-UPDRS scores continue to demonstrate that patients with high baseline CSF GluSph experience an early and durable response to rexaceract that persists through Day 270 and Day 360, while the overall patient group continues to benefit from non-progression of their Parkinson's symptoms through Day 360. We continue to believe rexaceract has the potential to shift the treatment paradigm beyond symptom management by addressing the underlying biology of Parkinson's disease, and we look forward to achieving additional clinical and regulatory milestones throughout the remainder of the year."

Stock has been on a bit of run this week, but they will release a full report on Phase 1B in October, and also will start Phase 2 trials Q3 2026. Might be a little early for this one, but if the phase 2 trials prove successful this could be a treatment for Parkinsons, and even potentially show ways to treat or slow diseases like Alzheimers, which would make GANX a prime buyout candidate.
