Truist is down $.11 and Regions is down $.38 in pre-market. Do y'all think today is the bottom for the bank rundown?

I think Brandon's ability to take the whole market down may make them drop a bit more.

ETA: Damn, Baw. You were right. They are down more. The 4 dickheads that downvoted you are now out sucking dick for beer money.

Bought and sold some $60 4/21 calls on FRC to double my money. Nothing major, but double up is good regardless of amount

The absolute worst financial institution that I’ve ever dealt with - and I’ve dealt with more than a few. They’ve made a complete mess of the merger of BB&T and Suntrust.

Back in on the same $60 calls for FRC just before close. Today seems overreaction or potentially generates its own reaction from one of the majors who just deposited billions with them.

Of course after close its reported FRC intends to sell stock to further raise capital and its down. Maybe I’ll get lucky and the sale is placed with one or a group of the majors at a better than close valuation that creates some confidence. If not, I only risked my profits from original trade.

That’s my general bet. They won’t let them fail or will arrange a beneficial marriage with one of the big 4.

Other banks putting in $30 billion for nothing tells me no one wants to deal with consequences of a bust so too important to bust

I was with Suntrust for 20 years. Whne they became truist I went in to set up a line of credit. I had done it with Suntrust and it took minutes. Truist made it complicated as hell. Home has been paid off for years, over 800 on Beacon, etc. I had to make 8 trips to my branch to do it, with an additional 10 phone calls.

I would bail, but I have to leave the LOC open for 3 years or they charge me all of the closing costs. Who knows what that would be by the time they pile on junk fees?

They try constantly to hard-sell me on getting their fricking credit card. I was getting 3 emails per week, explaining how they could help me. It always translated into helping me put my money into their pockets.

I ordered more checks from them. It was $35 for two checkbooks. I am through paying them anything.

I've bought the shite out of BAC, DB, and ING. Bought smaller amounts of BSBR, BCS, BBVA, ITUB, C, BMO, BNS, UBS, and TD.

Thoughts on ZION?

Surely the folks in Utah won’t run on their home state bank. Right?
