"Schwab's longstanding reputation as a safe port in a storm remains intact, driven by record-setting business performance, a conservative balance sheet, a strong liquidity position, and a diversified base of 34 million+ account holders who invest with Schwab every day," Bettinger and Schwab wrote.

Bettinger backed up his statement on Tuesday, paying $2.97 million to buy 50,000 Schwab shares at an average price of $59.31, according to an SEC filing. That same day, Chief Financial Officer Peter Crawford's trust paid $289,780 for 5,000 shares at an average price of $57.96; director Todd Ricketts paid $567,862 for 10,000 shares at an average price of $56.79; and director John Adams paid $296,550 for 5,000 shares at an average price of $59.31.

Director Stephen Ellis' trust paid $378,928 for 6,757 shares at an average price of $56.08 on Tuesday, then bought another 34,387 shares for $2 million at an average price of $58.26 on Wednesday. On Thursday, Director Mark Goldfarb paid about $233,468 for 4,000 shares at an average price of $58.37.

The company declined to make the executives available for comment. Bettinger said on CNBC on Tuesday that he "was waiting at the door and bought 50,000 shares for my personal account right as the market opened."

Probably a good time to load up on SCHW. I bought a nominal amount ($700 worth) last week at $55.9 but will probably double that amount today aiming for right around $57/share.

ETA: this is a long term hold, over 5+ years.

Bought SCHW Friday if that counts.

Sure does. I’ve got short 3/31 puts on SCHW @ 53 and and BAC @ 25.50 in an IRA. I’m also a bag holder in KBWB in the same account from about a year and a half ago - not looking to add there. Might consider potentially adding to an HBAN position in my HSA account through short puts though. Nice div and well run (or that’s what I’ve read - who really knows anymore?! ).

Jag, did you end up selling the 3/31 SCHW puts?

No. I’ll take the (soon to be) assigned shares at 53. I’ve also sold 47 strike puts for 4/6. I’ll take some more there too - this is in an investment, not the trading account.

The BAC 25.50 strike short puts for 3/31 are expiring worthless. So I sold 27 strike puts for 4/14 - 23 delta, but I don’t mind getting assigned there. Earnings are due on 4/18. Whether I get assigned or not, I’ll do an options based earnings play.

BAC, DB, and ING. Bought smaller amounts of BSBR, BCS, BBVA, ITUB, C, BMO, BNS, UBS, and TD.

I've held almost all of these for a while, and they've mostly been good to me.

Also bought nrdby recently.... Hope that dividend doesn't get cut.

I added a lot of KEY to my accounts. It was trading around $16 before the SVB implosion. That Monday I picked it up at $9 and have added each week when it’s under $11.50.
