Goodness. I've been smoked.

Zooming out to see where I've come from helps, but hard to think the AI party isn't over.

Painful day. Isn’t showing any signs of stopping.

At least we got yesterday as a slight buffer.

If you were all in on the AI trade getting punished for sure.

S&P500 was too concentrated, overall this probably needed to happen.

I'm not sure the party is over yet.

I guess it’s really bad today especially when people aren’t talking about this being a great buying opportunity like most other downturns.

If you don’t need the money in the next 2-3 years, the best time to invest is now. Always.

Gambling mindset reveals itself quick in sudden downturns. Be an investor.

Yep. Glad I increased my monthly contribution amounts last week, getting ready for the overreaction.

Unfortunately this board lacks of investment mindset. It’s mostly about seeing which individual stocks can make the most money short term rather than looking at the big picture with growth in ETFs and long term investing.

I picked up some QID and PSQ a while back, grabbed some SCO recently. I figured that once they got into power they would start trying to wind down the Iran war, eventually triggering oil shorts. Along with that, they would start pushing against data centers (if for no other reason than because Trump is for them), causing the market to go red.

I just didn't think the market would react this hard this quickly.

Between the pandemic crash and stimulus checks, a lot of new retail investors came in and got immediate quick returns. Set an unrealistic expectation.

It's frustrating but think it's temporary move.

Can't see AI going anywhere. That train has left the station.

Multiple Paul Allen sightings makes me feel better.

Buy high, buy low, buy, buy, buy and hope 2030-2035 is your stock savior bc AI isn't going anywhere.

I'll be back...

That's definitely the most money I've lost on paper in a single day

For years after that I couldn't look at my portfolio because it made me sad. But I never sold, I continued adding to my retirement account since then and retired in 2021. We'll just fine, we were due for a correction.

I lost (on paper) 50% in 2008 but I had a lot less money in the market when I was 30 years old too
