Right. Kelly’s going nowhere, he’d have to have at least a couple bad seasons back to back, and by bad I mean break even or worse. Regarding what will happen this year, there’s no telling. I think 8-4 is just as possible as 11-1.

CBK is “Mr. 9-3”

It’s like shooting fish in a barrel with some of you

CBK hasn’t proven to be elite at LSU. Until he does, he deserves to be doubted.

9-3 is an improvement from last year. He’s probably right

Josh Pate is NOT an LSU advocate. Never has been.

Till they strap on the helmets and get on the field and actually play the game, all this "opinion crap" is just conjecture. So many intangibles and variables that are uncontrolled. Refs, weather, want, roll of the ball, fans. It is easier to predict the weather and that is only given in % accuracy. That how football predictions should be % of accuracy. I can guaranty the Tigers win the opener, just which Tiger is the question.

Eh, as long as the defense has gotten better, you'll end up defending him either way. You'll say yes made great hires, good recruiting classes, he's still "rebuilding" from the damage that was done...etc...

And all of those things are absolutely true

Of course it depends on other teams and the strength of teams you beat and lose to so 9-3 is certainly possible to make the 12 team playoff.

so what you're saying is, the last few years Pate got us wrong, but THIS YEAR, he got us right?

He thinks we lose in Norman in a playoff elimination game. Not that far fetched

We play 7 ranked teams and we have to go on the road to Clemson, Alabama and Oklahoma.

We have a really difficult schedule this year but we're LSU and not finishing top 12 would be grounds to start gathering the buyout money.

The truthful issue is that Kelly is untouchable because of his contract though.

The big question becomes- Does Scott Woodward lose his job.

Advocate released a bunch of predictions from their writers. A few of them have 9-3 as well. I honestly think I’m closer to 9-3 than I am to 10-2. It’s a tough schedule, and we’ve got 5 new guys on the OL.

To be fair to Pate, he also says he reserves the right to change his mind after games are played. He doesn’t trust the run game. Understandable. Our lack of run game lost us at least 2 games last year.

To be fair, Pate acknowledged that the ceiling is higher.

Who cares who the media picks, it literally means nothing.
