You say they can not afford to or do not want to spend the money?
I say how can they afford not to if they have any hope of remaining relevant and putting a team together to compete. It is a matter of producing a viable product to compete in order to get the money from the SEC basketball TV contracts. Maybe get Woodside Energy, Lady of the Lake, and Nike to all contribute some cash. 30 million for a basketball team seems excessive but I guess that is the going rate. I don't have a clue. I would expect some of the expenses would be offset by ticket sales etc but still that is a lot of money. I do not see how they can justify a new Pete's Palace when no one is going to show up to watch this team perform. I wonder if it would be wise to look at the other sports that are just not that big with the fan base tennis, golf etc Not sure how much money these sports are budgeted. How does the "Woodside Tiger Mens Basketball team sound for $30 million? We got accept and face the music, Money talks and bullshite walks. You want to be relevant in a sport you need big bucks and corporate sponsor.

Dang reminded me of the old Shaq games, when opponents would intentionally foul him because they knew he could never make a free throw.

That's and easy answer. Allowing unvetted immigration will do it every time it tried. Corrupts a countries culture. You won't see this in Japan however.
SAVE Act 2025

This is kind of a no brainer for me. I go to the doctors office or quest for lab and boom first thing out of the box I flash the Medicare card, the supplement card, and the photo ID. They even have a scanner to read them. I go to the bank an i produce the bank card they no longer ask for the photo Id although they used to. I go to make a purchase and I got the credit card. I go to the gym and I got the membership card, ditto for the library, used to be I got carded at the bars no longer I got wrinkles that serve the same purpose. In 1965 I got this Draft Card and then I got the LSU student ID card that deferred the draft card. Here in Texas I get a voter registration card every year in the mail. When I go to vote I bring it with me but the drivers license is all I have to show. I can only vote in local elections in my precent. Maybe it is just me but I am so used to producing a card. Heck now I got all those cards on my phone. So actually I figure I could produce ID with just my phone. Guess that is why this is an 80/20 issue. The opposing positions is clear, Anyone can vote irregardless of eligibility, election fraud is OK.

Can you imagine a debate between AOC vs JD or Rubio?
Please explain what qualifies her to be POUS.
Enumerate what she has accomplished in her governmental role.
Laws passed, actions taken, bills introduced, committees chaired, papers written extolling her vast knowledge of government. Looking for some positive reinforcement. I already am only too well aware of the negatives.

Run for office IQ score above your stated age required.
I agree with Rosie and others. If AOC gets elected I will definitely have to leave the country  The fact that you have a bazillion "George Bush quote" followers on social media does not qualify you as intelligent, insightful , capable, or qualified to be POTUS. Every time I see a Democrat at the speakers podium they are reading off a script that some staffer wrote for them. Mostly repeating the talking points for that day. When they go off script they are exposed for what they truly are. AOC once said RICO was not a law. Just think of the terrible injustice of imprisoning those who were found guiltily of violating said law. When you have to govern you have to use reasoning, intelligence, assess the pros and cons and come up with a coherent plan of action. You actually have to govern. Scary isn't it.

Why not go find a new fresh face instead of bringing back a retread. Surely there is some young coaching talent out there that can bring the program back to success without all the inherent drama Wade would bring. I do believe anything would be better than the status quo.

Better yet put the Tiger fans out of their misery.
How can LSU talk about building a new multi million dollar basketball arena, when the men's basketball team is such a profound losing embarrassment?
Basketball has always been second to football. I do remember the days of Pistol Pete, Shack etc. So there were some glory days in our past. Of course I also remember Coach Dale Brown with Chris Jackson, Stanely Roberts and Shaq all on the team that did not make it very far that season. 1989-90

God is the giver of life. God is also the one being who governs when life begins and ends. The sixth commandment you remember the one that says thou shalt not kill. is pretty explicit and it does not leave room for exceptions. God's ways are superior to man's. If you believe that life in the womb can be killed and God is OK with that, so be it. Couples do not say we are having a fetus. No they say baby. A baby in the womb if left undisturbed will become a human being. Killing a human being is wrong. Now situational ethics would tell you that there are exceptions to God's commandments. Certainly there are situations that are challenging to embrace. There is of course man's laws and God's law. Just because man says it is ok does not mean that God will also. God is forgiving and loving, so maybe the taking of a life without God willing it will be forgiven. I for one do not want to take that for granted.
re: People at work that have to use the microwave longer than 5 minutes…

Best microwave story ever. See if you can out do this one.
In Louisiana Prisons there is a Federal non smoking policy mandate. Of course DOC sells smokeless tobacco products in the canteen. The prisons make a lot of money off these sales. Prisoners dry out the tobacco in the microwave to make cigarettes, They use newspaper to wrap the tobacco in to make the cigarettes. Since non smoking policy no longer are lighters sold. Now comes the microwave miracle. Lead pencil is used to scratch a patch on paper then placed in the microwave till it ignites and the burning paper is used to light the cigarettes. Tobacco is banned to protect inmate health and welfare. So now smoking snuff and using ink printed newspaper to make cigarettes is infinitely more hazardous to their health.
Now can you imagine what food taste like that is cooked in the microwave after this. With the menthol snuff and the burning paper the Ramen noodles a distinctive smoked menthol flavor. The "hook ups" can tie up a microwave for at least an hour. So if you think the office microwave is interesting you have not seen nothing till you see desperate smoking addicted prisoners at play.
If want validation, just ask any DOC correction officer :spank:

We should have a secret back door built into these planes. We could then easily disable them and render them useless if push comes to shove at some point in time. Also should have ability to sell to China some altered plans that when they get down to the construction phase their is a Trojan Horse awaiting. Yes US needs to play dirty with these Commies. Who knows maybe they are already doing it, just not out for public consumption. We can always hope.
re: Mayor Mamdani just visited a man who got shot while charging at a cop with a knife.

Mamdani and the knifer have something in common. They both believe you can attack and threaten the life of a cop and expect the cop to let you. Forget wat happened to the poor girl on subway from Ukraine when that freak with the knife killed her in just a few seconds. Insanity is the new norm. Strange as it seems there are those who actually believe a guy aggressively threatening the cops life with a knife in his hand should be coddled.

Saban and Pete Carrol sage advise to take the LSU job speaks volumes to his decision. These two coaches opinions have to be at the tope of the list of those in the know. Lane was wise in following their recommendations.

. [quote]At a Glance: In the U.S., a photo ID is required for various activities, including buying alcohol, opening a bank account, applying for food stamps, welfare, Medicaid, and Social Security, renting or buying a house, buying or renting a car, flying on an airplane, getting married, purchasing a gun, adopting a pet, applying for a hunting license, renting a hotel room, getting a fishing license, buying a cell phone, picking up prescription medication, visiting a casino, holding a protest or rally, donating blood, purchasing mature-rated video games, purchasing tobacco, and applying for unemployment benefits. A photo ID helps prove identity and ensures compliance with legal requirements.
Yet, many claim it is unnecessary to have ID to vote in an election! Often playing the race card, stating it is discrimination. Some wrongfully site the voting rights bill. There is no restriction imposed on your right to vote only that you provide proof that you are legally qualified to vote. Thune promises a vote in the Senate. Let the debate show why those opposed want people to vote who are not able to prove that they are legally qualified to vote. Seems obvious that a Negative vote means you want to allow voting rights to those who do not legally deserve to vote.

re: Are There Any Posters Here Who Don't Think Don Lemon Should've Been Arrested?

Don Lemon does not have press credentials as he is no longer a CNN anchor. He was stripped of his press credentials by all major U.S. journalism certification organizations, which means he is no longer recognized as a journalist by these bodies.
Imagine what his defenders would say if a white guy did this in a black church. It all depends on what fits the narrative. I think anybody and I mean anybody liberal, conservative, black, white it does not matter, If you interfere with people worshiping God in their own church and threaten, intimidate, or interrupt that service to prevent said worship, which is exactly what happened here. Quoting my long since deceased grandmother "they should be thrown under the jail" Many an American soldier has died to protect our right to freedom of religion?? :spank:

Well some businesses people are smart and successful and some are not.
Alienating potential customers is a good way to go out of business. Michael Jordan business model everyone wears shoes so why piss off a potential customer by taking a political stand that may offend said person. Neutral is the appropriate gear for any business that does not want to lose business from potential customers who object to whatever stand is proffered.

No way! You could have knocked me over with a feather, before I would believe that. She cam by those multiple million dollars by plain hard work and spotless ethics. Not to mention the the enablers in the press who cover every fricking lying word that comes out of her mouth. I don't completely blame her, I also blame the government that does not throw her arse in prison. I guarantee if it were Joe Six Pack committing these crimes he would have long since be behind bars. Politicians are so afraid of the race card, and being accused of being prejudiced, Screw it call a Spade a Spade and show a little backbone when dealing with crooks. They do what they do till someone has the balls to stop them then they fold like a house of cards.

I hope he does not VIP treatment. Book deal. TV rights. Special treatment. Girls friends, Hope he gets Gen Pop where the real hoods can teach him about how the game is played on the inside. If he has enough money in his account he can buy protection. If not he will be somebodies toy boy. I would think putting him in Administrative Segregation would be worse. One hour a day out of the cell Exercise in dog run. No canteen. Restricted visitation. Really not fun. No drugs in there either. Does not take long to become institutionalized under those conditions. Some end up on suicide watch which is even worse.
