In normal, previous circumstances it would be crazy to talk like that about a coach in his first year, but all money to pay him and his staff and to buy athletes has changed the perspective completely. No more honeymoon, no more waiting til next year- it’s do or die time now. If he doesn’t make the playoffs THIS year, his tenure is a failure and it’s fair to question if he was the right choice. It’s just the way it is now. (Not that we can or should fire him after this season regardless, but it’s less crazy to ponder, absurd buyouts notwithstanding)

I’m going with 3 more losses. Bama, Texas and Tennessee look to be the best odds for more L’s. We will have a dog fight this weekend w/State and it will also slug fests with Aub and Ark because they are on the road where Kiffin /LSU struggle mightily. In fact there may be just as good of a chance we lose to Aub/Tenn/Ark as we have of beating Bama/Tex at home. We could go 1-1 with those 2 and lose 2 of the road games.

We expect to lose to teams like Texas and Bama but we’ve already lost to two teams with less talent and far fewer resources. No matter how you spin it we are not in a good place right now. Kiffin is getting out coached and his assistants are really letting him down.

It is not sustainable. LSU banks on winning which we've sucked about 14 years out of 15 the past 15 years.

No, it is not. This team and coaching staff is not up to the challenge- they have 2-3 more losses in them.

I hope so. Either way he’s here only 3 years. If he does bring us a title, he’s gone to the next best thing. If he doesn’t bring us a title, or close to in three years, he’ll be fired.
