look, maybe the guy checks TD once a week, once a month, maybe he's been offshore the last several weeks. maybe its a she and has just delivered a baby and just catching up and in an emotional state started a thread. whatever the case may be, this board exists on random questions and topics, and not everyone lives and breathes this every minute of every day. bottom line, answer the question or ignore the post. and yes, i could have done the same, but i'm not big into conforming to groupthink. there are literally dozens of threads a day i see the title and just move to the next thread.

not that this is really groundbreaking advice, but i know for years i watched any and every video possible to mankind on the swing, the path, the lag etc.


i was watching a live round one time and the tv shot was down fairway of a guy about to hit. basically the camera was right where the guy was hitting. when you see the swing from that view, at least for me, it displays how straight that left arm stays, and the drop of that left arm before turning, but more importantly to answer your question, the hips clearing out is what makes room for this.

something I've implemented that has helped me some is when addressing the ball and I'm in my comfortable stance, making sure my arms are dangling below, pop my butt out a tad. it helps prevent the "standing up" to create space, which actually gets you closer. this keeps your butt/waste away some for spacing, and then allows the trunk and all else to follow through in the space created.
