Always best to italicize things one is attempting to sneak through. That little bit of wiggle just slides it right past the old eyeballs

It is in LSU and his best interest to smooth this whole thing over. LSU wants to hang his name up at the stadium, put a statue up and highlight an LSU heisman winner without a showering of boos. I can't imagine Jayden wants all of that when he comes back to honored etc.

I do t have a bad opinion of Jayden now. I think he is taking bad advice and needs to wise up.

That's the thing. He has no arrests, no scandals, always respectful in interviews etc. He's guilty of having a shitty PR/management team. An apology would go a long way

LOL.. it is as if no one realizes that college football is now just a big corporate business.. the roster this year is 40-50 mil.. no 4 or 5 star is coming unless we pay them a ton of money, then they are not staying unless we pay them more (and meet other demands such as jersey numbers )... the days of just coming to LSU because you loved the school are over, there will always be $$$$$ and other promises attached... you know maybe CBK did not issue number 5 to anyone and CLK had to do a "lot of research" before he did was because they thought "it was only a number" and it would give the impression that "someone is bigger than the program" .. that being said JD5 should have just been mad behind the scenes and I am sure LSU promised it was a 1 time deal to issue it to DJ.. but these type of things are going to be more prevalent now that the players are making so much money and can just transfer on a whim if demands are not met

Of course I would forgive him if it was a sincere apology. He was a great Tiger and did nothing while here to change that. We all make stupid decisions, especially when we are young.

If he posted something really funny to social media making light of the situation and apologized I think he could somewhat save face. Or wear a different number for a week out of respect for himself
